Brenda,

I saw pictures of you on Facebook(?)from your daughter's wedding. You looked beautiful and frankly exactly like you did 30 years ago. (What's your secret?) There's also a lovely photo of you looking up. If I had a photo like that, I'd be sending it to anyone I ever met in my life. (It is not a coincidence that half of me is hiding behind glasses.)

It would be great if MHS had a home football game tht Friday night. We would have a blast at the new field and then go out for a cold one later! We could have our own section!

Hey Donna Thanks for letting me know about this site
Nice to see everyone and it looks like we are all doing well. 30 years is a long time. Hope that more people join and that we keep in touch.
Thanks again

Glenn,
I have some really good Macy's stories! I worked at the Mall of NH and we were Filene's then Macy's bought us and I stayed working through the transition.
All the Macy's have the 70's theme going here with peace signs and hearts. Seems like the hippies are making a come back. Are the Macy's in California the same motif?

Rob Ferendo, Glenn, Mellisa

It has been years. Rob saw your picture with your sons, they are adorable. Hope all is well. It is so much fun reading the message board. Mellisa you sound just as you did in high school. Glen your sense of humor and cleverness is also the same. We had so many good times. I am sorry to hear that some of you do not have a year book. I look at mine regularly because I bump into people and they say we went to high school together and I have no clue.
The chief of police in Chester NH went to school with us anyone know who he is? I do.
Haven't skated in years Rob. Our family has horses and this takes up alot of our time. I took a flop off my house a year ago and have not ridden much since. My sister shows him for me. He is a champion. Michelle Archambeault has 2 horses. WOW. It is intersting. This message board will give everyone time to get caught up till we meet in Oct. Talk with you all later. Have to make dinner for my 20 year old. OK yes she is spoiled.
Take care
Cathy

Somehow, Leah Garlichs snuck in here without my noticing. Hi, you adorable girl. Have your ears been burning? (I'm still jealous over the gorgeous dress you worn to our 20th.) My sweet husband knows everyone by a story. Leah, you’re the dress. Laura -Jamie Lee Curtis cool (But, oh so much younger.) Glenn, no introduction required (You’ll always be the favorite.) Joni Whitcomb is now “the Britt.” Barbara, you are the legendary beauty (that’s true!) And Scott Ireland is my hero! Welcome Cathy Lupien, we’re very glad you’re here!
After thirty years away from a classroom, I am now California’s oldest freshman. Life is interesting, no?

Barbara,

Yes we have the same motif. We call it "Summer of Love"

PS> You're still beautiful!

Hi Everyone,

It is great that alot of you are catching up on this site. I have been having fun talking or e-mailing classmates. I think this reunion is going to be one of the best. Donna Keenan Grady mentioned that maybe a Memorial High football game might be going on. My son Nicholas is in the band at Memorial.
When he gets his schedule I will let everyone know if we are playing that Friday Night. That would be a blast if we could have our own section. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

I e-mailed Mr. Adamakos. MHS is playing AT West on 10/9. Still could meet at West Field and cheer on the team! Also he is willing to give a tour of MHS before the game. He is attending the game, so it would probably have to be 5ish. If you are interested in a tour e-mail me at curealsoon@aol.com so I can get a head count and let him know. Maybe we could all go out for a cold one after the game!

Hi Everyone-

FYI - I just posted the 1975 Southside Sentinel, which inlcudes our class pictures (yikes!)on my profile.

Count me in on the football game and tour. Sounds like fun!

Hello Everyone,

I had been wondering if there would be a 30th reunion or not and decided to check classmates. Glad to see one will occur, but more importantly to see many names from our high school days.

Hi All,

Linda Pratte Coulter has the traveling yearbook featuring the 'vintage' book cover. Contact her if you would like to get it next by mail.

Leah G. - I laughed out loud at your fabulous graduation hat/podium combo. Beautiful photos - then and now!

Ellen P. - What a great idea posting the Southside Sentinel. I can barely pull paperwork together for my annual taxes, and you can find papers from 1975? Gosh, you haven't changed a bit! I really enjoyed reading what you've been up to. You're an inspiration.

Great job Ellen. Now that was a long time ago. Wow
Thanks for the memories. My book is no where to be found.
Guess we all look a little more mature.
Can't say I enjoyed Southside very much I don't remember to much in terms of fun. I preferred Memorial.
Am I foretting anything from Southside?
I guess it was those teenage years of trying to figure out who you are and what the heck we were going to do the rest of our lives.
Thanks for the memories again I think. LOL

Not getting any responses to the tour of MMHS. Just wondering if it is not a good idea..not going to tie Mr. Adamokos up if only one or two people want to see the school. Let me know.

Sorry Donna. I've seen it a lot over the years. It's too sad to see the patio going to waste. lol. Both my kids graduated from MMHS so I've had my fill. But it's a good idea for those who haven't seen it since 79.

Linda.
I think your Ben and my Tyler (aka Tyman to me) graduated together. I only remember because your smarty pants could read in kindergarten at Holy Cross! I don't need to see the school either..both of my kids are grads..I just don't want to ask them to open up the school for a few people.

Okay, Karen McGrath and Steve Hernandez, you have been holding out! I’ve been asking (ne begging) for romantic details. (You two are a sly pair.) Steve Hernandez listed his partner as Karen McGrath. (As if out of towners would know that was our own sweet Karen Dobrowski. Thank goodness for Karen’s profile. That cat’s out of the bag.) I no longer care about politics, religion, hobbies or careers. I’m all about the love. Who asked whom? Where was your first date? Did the two of you date in high school? Details! Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.

Donna, I think the tour is a great idea and I, for one, would be interested. Time is my biggest enemy. There is a lot I want to fit in (Most of my family has relocated, this is the last time I am likely to return to New Hampshire.) Including a trip to the Apollo Grill, (Wahoo! Everyone is invited.) we've committed to a hundred cocktails, (I'm going to be drunk as a lord at this reunion, I'm a complete lightweight.) we've committed to breakfast, lunch and dinner dates with other classmates. I think I’m even having coffee with Mr. Downton one morning. I've become new best friends with people I hardly knew in High School (How great is that?). But if we can figure out a way to fit this in too, we’re in! Thank you for your willingness to coordinate this event.

To Melissa.....
Wow, I didn't think anyone kept track of this stuff! :-)

Karen and I met at Southside and were friends througout HS. I hadn't seen her since Rob Ferendo's graduation party. My fond memories of Karen include being chased from her house by her great-grandmother wielding a broom. ....and let's not forget the "smokebomb" incident in her basement. Luckily her parents don't remember that little gem!

Anyway, we reconnected through this website and have been seeing each other since the spring. I got tired of conversing through email so I asked her out to dinner so we could "catch up" face-to-face. In true Karen fashion, she made me wait three weeks! Of course, when I finally saw her in the flesh, I was all done. I realized that my long-standing bachelor status was about to be disrupted.

She's the best!

Aww...man...gives a person hope! How sweet. So glad to know that someone can be happy and have a second chance at love! I am so happy for you...as I go talk to my fish Clarence LOL

Chin up Donna!
When you least expect it....

I hope you still subscribe to what you wrote in the yearbook. ...fairly profound.

07/17/09 12:27 PM #112

Karen Dobrowski (Hernandez)

To chime in, Donna, I never expected to find anyone this far down the road. To say Steve was a surprise is the understatement of the year! Never give up. The love of your life might just be someone you haven't seen in 30 years and never expected to see again. Now I can't imagine life without him. Go figure!

07/17/09 12:29 PM #113

Kathleen Reaves

Dang! Post a photo of the two of you! Together!

07/17/09 12:33 PM #114

Donna Keenan (Grady)

You know I can still recite my message in the yearbook...I just need to learn to live it!

07/17/09 12:39 PM #115

Karen Dobrowski (Hernandez)

We don't have one to post! Will have to see what we can do about that, Mr. Hernandez... or you'll all have to wait until October!!
