Even though Horace and Jimmy Whittlesey were trouble on the loose, their parents, Helen and Horace, had a soft spot for my brother and me.  They were always there with a kind word and much more.  They rashly allowed me to host a Bugs party at their home, and even cleared out a room and supplied cokes. They also always kept in touch with my brother who even on his best day was a handful.

I've never forgotten their many kindnesses and invariable support.
