Tell us about yourself:

I retired from teaching English as a second language 7 years ago. I’m writing a memoir. I love to dance whenever i can. I zumba Tuesdays and Thursdays, try to walk 100000 steps a day, don’t always make it. I have a women’s group meets Mondays and a writers group meets Fridays. I swim a kilometer when I get the chance. I cook, invite friends over and watch mysteries on tv. I’m planning a trip to Spain in the spring.

School Story and Memories:

3 classes with Gilbert Weatherbee my senior year and tutoring Emily Patterson in French. Making a matchstick sputnik in Mrs Kluger’s class in my junior year and getting in trouble for it. Protesting “Operation Abolution” and getting them to show a more balanced view ofHUAC protests. Meeting the bullfighter Paco Camino at Rucy Jason’s house. He had a thing for Jeanne Thompson but then, which male didn’t. Group therapy with Violet Stark.

What interesting experiences did you have in Mexico or anywhere else? Tell us about anything of importance or lasting impression to you!

Co-chairing Americans Abroad for MacGovern. Loving Mexican hospitality. I just can’t get used to the lack of it here. How wonderful it was to be a teenager in Mexico with all the activities, parties, movies, bowling, trampolines, doing things in a small crowd of friends. How supportive women were of each other as a young mother.
