Hello 58'rs:  While not a Moline '58 topic, think about this:
Wouldn't it be cool to have an Appalachian Radio station (Blue grass
and Southern Country gospel format) with call letters K N O Z.  Now
here's a sample: . . U  jis a bin listen'n to the mornin'  gospel tahm frum
Hoot'n Holler Country Church.  Yer tun'd to the station wut knoz  local
folks, K N O Z  Mountain raaadiioooh.  (Banjo/mandolin music here)
Now jis take a minut and set a spell wyle we duz the knews, paid fer
bah Billy Bob's Hardware.(NEWS) Figgurd y'all be consurnd thet Slim
Herferd's still wuz a raided by gol durn rev'nooers las nite.  Them
fools; didn't they know'd thet ther still wuz durn neer a hunnert yers
ole?  Slim dun got outta ther, and wuzn't hert a'tall, an U can jis git
on yer neez an thank Jesus fer thet.  'nuther thing. . . Ms. Wiggins
dun farhd-up the wood stove an's a bak'n her country famus oatmeal
cookys with store-bought choklit chips innum.  They's a gonna be
survd at the Hoot'n Holler church supper on Saddurdy, an U shur
dont wanna miss thet ther happin'n.  Flick & Flack, the fiddl'n twins
is gonna be aplay'n the music with Skinny Jack on bass.  We 'spect
y'all to be ther,  y'heere?     etc.....    COOL !     Note:  When driving
along I-75 in eastern Kentucky, the greatest pleaure is tuning the
AM dial to the local stations . . .bluegrass & country gospel, a
pleasant change from the status-quo.   Stan Zimmerman
