Myrtle Beach - Sandra Jennings Richbourg, 60, devoted wife of Joseph "Billy" Richbourg, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007 after a long illness.
 
Born January 18, 1947 in Charlotte, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Becky Ferguson Jennings.
 
Mrs. Richbourg graduated from Myrtle Beach High School and attended Kings College in Charlotte, N.C.
 
She and her husband of 26 years lived in Joe's hometown of Summerton where they raised Christmas trees at "The Farm"
 
She was the past secretary and member of the Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church in Summerton and was instrumental in the rebuilding of the chapel after Hurricane Hugo.
 
She and Joe returned to Myrtle Beach in 1992 and Sandra was excited to renew childhood friendships.
 
She enjoyed listening to and recording beach music that she distributed to her friends , and later to doctors and nurses at the Coastal Cancer Center.
 
Recently it was her wish to see the musical "Jersey Boys" in New York City. This week she passed away at Bellvue Hospital in New York after enjoying their performance.
 
Her family gratefully acknowledges the thoughtfulness of friends and those in the medical community these past many months.
 
Surviving besides her husband of Myrtle Beach, are a brother, Randy Jennings and wife, Patsy, of Myrtle Beach; Sister, Darlene Jennings of Pawley's Island; stepdaughter, Paula Adams and husband Chris, of Bradenton, FL.; Tami Jennings Ramsay and Husband, Robert, of Athens GA. and Traci Jennings of Myrtle Beach; Great nieces and nephews, Emma Ramsay, Beck Ramsay, Kayley Adams, Brendon Davis and Hope Davis; and many loving cousins in North Carolina.
 
She was preceded in death by Brothers, Rex Jennings and Jay Jennings; and stepdaughter Julia Richbourg Davis.
 
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church in the Silver Community Near Summerton. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
 
 The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. at McMillian-Small Funeral Home in Myrtle Beach, and from 10 until 11 a.m. Saturday, at Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church.

Darlene Jennings (1967)

Remembering today my sister Sandra who passed away on July 4, 2007.  You could not have asked for a better sister or a friend.
