Michael Pamplin

Joined the US Navy 1972 served in Vietnam, Discharged in 1976, Mare Island Apprentiship program, Sheetmetal Journeymen. Married in January 1980 and lived in Concord, CA and Benicia, Ca. We moved to Portland, Oregon in April 1986 were I worked for Lockport Marine Shipyard. I went into buisness as a Sheetmetal, Siding Contractor doing home remodels. We moved back to American Canyon Ca in 1988, and went to work as a Sheetmetal Mecanic in Vallejo for Courtecy Sheetmetal Shop and then for the Navy Public Works at the Naval Supply Center in Oakland, and left when the Base Closesure commission closed the Navy Public Works Center in 1996, I left as the Emergemcy Services / Maintenance General Foreman. I opened my own buisness called House Calls Computer Tuneups (I repaired personal computers in peoples homes). I was the Building / Rental Manager for the Springbrook Masonic Temple in Vallejo California till we moved to Fernley, Nevada in 2005. I love Living in Nevada with the spectacular vista and views, visiting the old ghost towns and wandering what thier stories were. The line that you might be from Nevada if you measure distances in hours instead of miles is really true this is a hugh state to try and explore and we are tring to do just that.

I remember the lawn in between the campus and watching the football games in the mud in the winter. How nice and green the lawn was in the Spring, going up to the lake in the summer to jump off the bridge and the rock. Some time it's so hard to remember if it really happened the way we remember or if it was just a dream.
