Bon Voyage to Diane Raymond Ball who is off to GB with the Napa High Alumni Choir. Attended their first concert last night here in Napa. Fabulous, of course! So proud of you, Diane. Seriously envious. Go girl!

How exciting, Diane.  Have a great time.  When are you leaving?  Do you get to site see while you're there?

Loved all the pictures from your travels Diane.  Thank you for sharing.

We missed you at the Gal's Luncheon at Hop Creek.  We had a great time.

A few of us gals took a Field Trip after the luncheon.

Margo, so they changed the venue for our luncheons to Hop Creek?  I have no idea where that is?

Saw Colleen Clark yesterday at the July 4th parade here in Napa. She was also on your England trip and said you all had a great time. Glad to hear it!

Diane,  Hop Creek is located on Browns Valley Road in the same retail center as Browns Valley Market

Thanks, Larry.  Not sure it was there, when I lived in Napa.  I lived off of Redwood Rd., but we would walk to Browns Valley School.

Diane,

The restaurant there has changed names about three times in the past 5 yrs.  Hop Creek as a name is pretty recent.

Hi all, so everyone is safely returned from recent travels?  I was able to use miles and upgrade to first class, pretty heady stuff for this Napa peasant girl.  I became so spoiled and entitled, slept the most hours I’ve ever done on a flight.  Upon arrival I saw the nothing to declare sign...in Berlin...and walked through, first one out...a friend says “is that all you travel with?”  Id completely blown off the carousel where my bag was going around and around...of course you can’t go back in the airport to retrieve baggage.  Duh, I’ve been traveling for 50 years!  Rookie mistake...so I say beware of first class, it lulls one into a pampered state too easily!   That, or I’m senile already.

So Mary,

Who are the two studs?  Substitute baggage perhaps?

I guess my photos of my trip are in my profile, if you're interested.

🤣🤣🤣the two guys in photo, Bruce?  I can tell you they are nothing like the men I met in Istanbul.  They live in the little town where The Grand Budapest Hotel was filmed, and Inglorious Basterds...Goerlitz...or as they call it...Goerliwood!

Oh man, my favorite stop at noon, and Foster Freeze around the block for the after dinner stop. Now there is some nostalgia.

Foster Freeze was a must for a giant cherry coke after several hours of tennis in the summer sun,

Does anyone know when Chicks first opened ? Do you know what year this picture was taken?

07/18/18 02:31 PM #918

Larry Hamilton

I honestly don't remember where I got this photo.  It was a FB post from last year.

Leida:  I'm not sure when they opened.  I remember that my good friend Tom Jordon worked there because his dad owned the place.

This looks to have been taken our senior year.  My meal of choice was a double cheeseburger and I remember paying 46 cents for it.  Looking at the photo, the Double Cheeseburger price is partly visable at the top and a "4" is showing so that would confirm 1963/64 prices.

Also, the girl in the lower center looks like (Dave Berry's wife) Kathy Hofer to me.

I remember hanging out with Paul at Fosters after tennis.  Good times Paul!  Do you remember Vern the owner? He seldom smiled but was nice enough.  He didn't like it when people parked there after a game and stayed forever though.

Hey Bob & Glenn,

Re: your survey -- I, for one, have no idea if I'll attend a reunion over a year from now.  I'd try, but assuming I'm still alive, I live 500 miles away & have no idea what the future may bring.  Put me down as a strong possible maybe...........
