currently M-F care giver for 5 month old Nora, daughter of Jill, lives local. HARD work. Looking to move from home of 45 years to a single level, smaller home. So is every other baby boomer.
Tell us all about your family; your parents, grandparents, siblings, children, g-children, etc. Who influenced you, who are you most like, which child is most like you, what have your siblings and children accomplished? Etc.
Grandchildren were the most enlightening to me - my youngest daughter stated so well when the first was born: "How can you instantly love someone you don't know?". My kids are an attorney, physical therapist and teacher. All "giving" professions. Can you tell how proud I am to be their mom? My grandchildren are so smart they scare me. Even the 5 month old revs up when the Sesame Street music comes on! Life is good.
Can you (still!) drive a stick shift? What kind of car do you have now? What was your favorite car that you owned? Did you ever get your dream car? Where did you get your license? (How many time did you have to take the test ?)
Yes, I can still drive my son in laws Saab stick shift. My favorite car was a beat up Gremlin. I drive a dull Honda Accord. I'm not really into cars. I got my license in Watertown - took the test once!
Married? Divorced? In a long term relationship? Did you marry your high school sweetheart? Are you still married to this person? How did you meet your spouse or partner?
