70th Birthday Party

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the graduates of the NKCHS Class of 1961!  On October 4, 2013, classmates gathered at Trezo Mare in Briarcliff Village to celebrate their collective 70th birthdays.  It was an amazing reunion of people who have stayed connected through the years and those who were back for the first time.  The conversation was lively, laughter everywhere and the stories flowing.  Gus Leimkuhler, former NKC teacher and the person to whom the 1961 Purgold was dedicated, was there and appeared to have a "blast."  The food, fun, and great conversation flowed during a memorable evening.  The huge cake tasted great and before the evening ended, classmates were asking, when is the next party?  Who knew how much fun it can be to be "70 AND STILL ROCKIN'!"  Thanks again to Larry Ehrhardt and his grandson, David Bolde, for the wonderful website - every other NKCHS class is trying to emulate it; to Jane Edwards Roney for taking reservations; to Trezo Mare for the great food and space; and to Jim Hobbs for delivering the cake and regaling the classmates with his great enthusiasm and humor.

GO, HORNETS!!!
