Mary Ann Grundman

Hello,

My Mom always had stories about growing up in Missouri. A lot of wildlife out there. I'm told. Especially in the Ozarks. She liked to go camping and hiking. We went often growing up. And I would bring home some surprising reptiles that she just didn't want to have inside the house. I grew to love having as many as possible. (Outside of course). She worked for many years at the AAA Auto Club. And met my step-dad after my dad passed away, at a young age. She loved our African Grey parrot "Suzie", our Dalmations, Cats and Turtles. And the Spanish style decor in our home. But she was a feisty little lady. "Spitfire". Didn't matter how small statured she was! She would let you know that she ruled the roast! And my sister and I grew up to be, I'm told... the same way, sometimes. Her more than I, of course!

I look forward to hearing from any of her classmates or family members that would like to share photos or stories of our mom. She left at such a young age. And is truly missed everyday. We never really got to know any of our family, since we were so young back then also. With both parents at young ages leaving so soon. When I saw this Senior picture of my Mom for the first time, a couple of days ago. I wasn't even sure it was her. But really happy to find out that it was, since I knew I could keep this picture in my collection of memories for my kids.

Thank you so much to Richard Hawkins for responding and helping me get this out to my Mom's profile and if anyone wants to reach me. I will be available to email at o.c.angler@gmail.com

Mary Ann was my cousin. I was born 20 days before her. We had planned attending the 20th class reunion together.

Mary Ann died in California in January of 1982 of myasthenia gravis.  She was married and had two children. She was born on April 23, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri.

It's hard to believe 30 years have gone by since she passed away.
