Jana was my best friend from 4th grade on. She was simply the best. After graduating from UMKC, she married Dave Aurand and moved to California. We were always in contact with each other and would have really enjoyed email and texting! I was with her right before she died (October 18, 1980) and will never forget her last smile. May she rest in peace.
Jana and I had 4 classes together our senior year...I especially remember chemistry...where we sat next to each other...I don't thing she liked it any more than I did! She is the one who talked me into asking Roger Rule to the Y-Teen Sweetheart dance...and of course Roger and I ended up marrying. Jana was fun and sweet. I have thought of her often and even tried to find her on FB...I am sad to know she is gone and we won't be reconnecting in this life.
