Henry and I grew up in the same neighborhood with Jim O'Banion and Alan Gianessi and went to school together for almost all 12 years.  The four of us graduated together in 1962 on a Friday night and left for basic training in the US Air Force the following Monday night.  From there our paths separated.  We were placed in different flights in basic training.  After basic training, we all were placed at different bases for technical training.  Henry was eventually placed on a base on the east coast where he married and had one child.  While home on leave in 1966, he was killed in a car accident on the old 69 highway outside of Liberty Missouri.  He was buried in White Chapel Gardens in Kansas City Missouri.  His widow and child went back to live with the maternal grandparents.  Henry was one you could always count on for support of any kind.  I think of him often and still miss him to this day.
