Larry Peoples Obituary

Larry Wayne Peoples, 63, of Moultrie, GA died July 23, 2008, at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 16, at LaMonte Baptist Church, 1005 Midland, LaMonte, MO.

Born Sept. 29, 1944, in Pettis County Missouri, to Stanley and Alma Peoples, he was the senior vice president of sales and marketing for Riverside Manufacturing. He graduated from North Kansas City High School and received Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. He was also a United States Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Barbara Peoples of Moultrie; two sons, Marc Peoples and wife Audra of Tallahassee, Fla., and Ryan Peoples and wife Rebekah of Savannah, Ga.; a daughter, Heather Scribner and husband Doug of Atlanta, Ga.; his parents, Stanley and Alma Peoples of Lamonte, Mo.; one brother, Gary Peoples and wife Patty of Grand Lake, Okla.; one sister, Carol Franklin and husband Jack of Kansas City, Mo.; five grandchildren, Anabelle Peoples, Sebastian Peoples, James Scribner, Katharine Scribner and Kemp Peoples. Lunch will be served immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to The Colquitt Regional Medical Center Foundation, P.O. Box 40, Moultrie, Ga. 31776.

Pam Henry (Polson)

Larry died of cancer many years ago.  He and his wife, Barbara, were long time friends.  He fought hard to live.  Larry was very successful.  He was smart and always had a sly grin on his face. It was a great loss his dying at such a young age, leaving his wife and kids, plus friends.
