Larry Sapp, 80, of Kansas City Missouri passed away peacefully on August 7, 2024. Larry shared 59 wonderful years of marriage to the love of his life Sharon. They were a true testament of dedication, joy, and love. Larry had a deep affection for his family and filled his years creating memories with his children and grandchildren.

He was a fun- loving humorous man who brought laughter to those around him. A proud Marine who carried the value of hard work and integrity. Larry’s professional life was intertwined with his family, as co-owner of Ray- Sapp Hardware for many years. Where he and his brother Dale shared a commitment to the family business.

Larry had great enthusiasm for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Royals as well. He loved sports and that included coaching youth sports for his children as they grew. He also had a great love for trips to the lake where his family gathered and enjoyed boating and fishing trips. Creating lasting memories for years to come.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents: Ray and Newry Sapp

He is survived by his loving wife: Sharon Sapp, children: Eric (Kristin) Sapp, Bryan (Jennifer) Sapp, grandchildren: Rilee, Carson, and Brooklyn, brother: Kenneth Dale (Mary Ann) Sapp, and sister: Nancy Meyers; as well as many other dear friends.

Larry’s memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

In honor of Larry, a celebration of life will be held Tuesday August 13, 2024 from 4:30 – 8:00 at:

Cascone’s Italian Restaurant located at: 3733 N. Oak Trafficway, Kansas City Missouri

I guess I'm in shock seeing Larry's passing. I have watched him and Sharon on Facebook for years and he was always so full of life. Even though I've not talked to Larry in years, I remember him as a super guy. Down to earth, agood friend and a great classmate. RIP Larry and prayers to you and your family.
