C. S. was a good friend since jr. high.  I played football with him for 4 years and he was a gentle giant.  I would have loved to share old times with him for sure!

CS and I were friends from the 3rd or 4th grade. We had such great times and got into so much trouble. I don't know who was the bad influence but we didn't care, we were having fun, I guess

Avery good person I grew up with.

NKC Class of '62 -

If you knew C, you knew that he was an extremely focused person, putting all of his efforts into whatever he happened to be doing at the moment.  Among his many passions - baseball, old cars, crazy stunts, laughter, history, airplanes, tracking former classmates, reminiscenting about the 'old' days, Missouri history, North Kansas City, family, friends, and his faith in God.  It was always amazing to me that he remembered almost all of you - knew what you might be doing and where you might be located.  He frequently told stories about high school days.  He kept up with former teachers and knew when they passed on.  Throughout the course of our marriage, it was my privilege to meet so many of you and to hear about so many more of you that I felt as though I knew you as well.  He loved North Kansas City High School, and although he did not march with you, he always felt honored to be a part of your class.  He had a tremendous love for our USA and was proud to have served with so many others.  He loved his children dearly and, I believe, his grandchildren even more.  His family was blessed to have had him in our lives - he was never too busy for us or an old friend and a cup of coffee.  He would say - "Thanks for the memories!"
