Donald "Donnie" James Moore

OCTOBER 21, 1944 – FEBRUARY 20, 2017

Donald (Donnie) James Moore, 72, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017, at the home. Donnie was born October 21, 1944, in Kansas City, MO, and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from North Kansas City High School and worked as a self-employed Remodeling Contractor all of his life. Donnie was an avid follower of the arts. He wrote several screenplays, was an extra in movies filmed in and around Kansas City. He also won many weight lifting awards, loved to dance, and ski. Donnie was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ralph and Mary Moore. Survivors include his six siblings, sister, Patsy (David) Leach of Idaho, brother, Mike (Sue) of Kansas City, brother, Larry of Gladstone, brother, Harry (Pat) of Arizona, brother, Maurice (Donna) of Oklahoma, sister, Rhonda O’Conner of Ferrillview and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, extended family and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation was held on Saturday, February 4th, 2017, from 2-4 PM at White Chapel Funeral Home.
