I am very sorry to hear of Gene Lasater's passing.   I grew up knowing Gene and his neighbor Don Turner (another missing classmate) since 3rd grade and lost track of both of them mid way through our High School years.  I recall Gene as kind, intelligent, self-starting individual who greeted you with a smile and helping hand.  He was a quiet studiest guy, who due diligently went about his day and like many that I have known, I wish that I could have known him in the later years.  Regrets to all and God Bless.
