James DICKIE Obituary
DICKIE, James Douglas (Jim)
May 14, 1939 - June 7, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Dad Jim.
Jim lived most of his life in North Vancouver before moving to Agassiz a year and a half ago. His career in the golf course industry allowed him to make many lifelong friends. He kept in touch with a lot of his North Vancouver High schoolmates and enjoyed the many class of '58 reunions. When not socializing, he could be found in his garden. Jim was a good neighbour, always willing to help out in any way. He was quite the character, charming when charm was required, made jokes when a good laugh was needed and quite the tease as well.
Jim is survived by his loving family; daughters Gina (Doug), Sandra; son Sean; grandchildren Greg (Kate), Bryan, Brittany (Mark), Jaymi (Stephen); great-grandchildren Nelson, Mitchell, Payton, Hudson and Palmer.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 29th from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at Seymour Golf and Country Club, 3733 Mount Seymour Parkway, North Vancouver. Please come and share your memories of Jim with us.

Jim Dickie, the greenskeeper expert, passed away a few days ago after falling in the kitchen and severely injuring his head. (Note: I was later told that that Jim did not die from a fall in his kitchen. He was found elsewhere in his house. He collapsed from some unknown cause.)
Since Jim did not maintain an email address, I would call him periodically about class events. I last talked to him about a month ago. He was in his usual good sprits, even though he was undergoing some painful injections for a skin malady. I liked Jim. He was always friendly and upbeat. Bill Wedley

So sorry to learn of this death. Jim's sister, Arlene Lima, is a friend and I'm sending her my condolences. Such a shame.
