Does anyone know what happened to Bonnie Johnson?

Hey Dan, that was pretty quick work locating Carol Sorensen Plowman. When you get her email address, let me know so I can add it to our list. We also would like the full mailing address of any classmates you locate; Full name, address, phone number, and email address are fields on the listing that we would like to get updated. Thank you for your information.

Connie Johnson Ott, the address for Madalyn Leonardi Norton is 523 N Main in Bountiful, Utah 84010; not 823 N Main.  Also, who is Bonnie Johnson.  At first I thought of Connie Johnson; then, I realized that that was you (lol). There isn't a Bonnie Johnson in my 1962 yearbook. ? ? ?

Dan H -- Thank you so much for posting Carol Sorenson's telephone number. I called her and I also had a very good conversation with her. She was unaware that we had been having reunions and is going to try her hardest to be at our 80th birthday party celebration. I was able to get her mailing address in California and her email address. However, I found out that her husband is currently not doing very well and is in the ICU at the hospital. She mentioned that she would certainly appreciate any prayers that could come her way.

Any other classmates who you are able to contact, do be sure and let them know that our 80th Birthday Party Celebration will be held on 9-12-24, and that we are going to have a great party. Also, please find out their mailing address and their email address if they have one. You can send any information you get to me and or Karen LeSieur Seeber, she is our listing update person. We'll let Charlotte know since she is also looking for our MIA classmates.

And a big THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.  Anybody else who wants to join in or knows where some of our classmates are hiding can post the information here or email me at cptaylor00@yahoo.com.

Tod Maltby..... you must have seen the Celebration of Life for George Vigil to be held Friday, 05-17-24. We are having a committee meeting on that same day. I'm thinking that I won't be able to attend, but I sure would have liked to be able to be there.

Karen Peterson (Belliston)

I keep seeing different dates for the 80th birthday party--Sept. 12 and Sept. 19. Is there a DEFINITE date. It would be good to have it correct on our calendars.

05/14/24 08:53 PM #1620

Clara Profaizer (Taylor)

Karen -- Well, the 80th Birthday Party is going to be 09-12-2024 ---- That is not the 12th of never, BUT the 12th of September, 2024. Please EVERYBODY who reads this, mark it on your calendars -- you know, those same calendars that you keep your Doctor or Dentist appointments on....... Thank you for questioning the discrepancy.

Well Connie, I hope that you're NOT the only one who's looking forward to the 80th Birthday Party. It's really going to be a fun event.

Thank you for putting Carol Sorenson Plowman''s name in the temple. Her husband is no longer in a coma and is now on a road to recovery. We can all just pray for the best now. She is really wanting to be able to come to the Birthday Party 09-12-24 and has made a sizable donation to the party fund. I certainly hope that she will be able to get here.

Happy to hear her husband is improving.  Hope she will be able to come.  I keep in touch with Sharlotte.  Thank you for your note.

Ode to Louise

Many Years ago; I was a 2nd Grade student at Mound Fort Elementary. There was a teacher there (not my teacher, I was in the other 2nd Grade class) named Mrs. Shirley. All the kids thought she was some sort of Ogress. She would hang around the lunchroom and yell at the kids to eat their vegetables, don’t waste food, etc. I remember one instance in particular where she was making some kids eat the rind on their watermelon.

Do any of you remember her?

When I was 8 years old, I started skiing. My uncle; William (Bill) Rhodes; was my lifelong friend and Mentor was a ski instructor and ski patrolman at Snow Basin. One afternoon we went into the lodge to take our boots off and have a hot drink, some walked up behind me and began speaking to Bill’s wife Verna. I was startled because the voice sounded familiar to me. I turned around and looked; Lo & Behold it was Mrs. Shirley! Verna introduced me and suddenly in that setting I was no longer afraid of her. Everyone knew her as “Tex” and she was a regular fixture at Snow Basin. She was a “PowderHound” and was always one of the first on the scene after a snow storm.

I glad I got to know her and ski with her; It certainly reinforced the adage “Don’t judge too Quickly”
