Hey Don,
I think that went right over my head! I never meant anything to upset anyone. I am really gald that everyone had a great time.

Now I have another idea, does anyone think that maybe a Big Pirate Pot Luch Halloween Party get together might be fun.

Now I know that seems easy for me to have that idea because I don't live down there but just thought maybe someone might think it would be fun. I could fly down and stay with my brother in Menifee or my cousins in Rancho Margarita. I don't want to crowd in on anyone, but it sure seems like it would be a fun thing to do.

That way if we dressed up, no one would have to worry about a "NEW OUTFIT" lol.

First and foremost! We can't thank you enough for the live entertainment! We really apprecite the fact that you have gone out of your way to make sure that the Mighty Pirates have another venue to meet up with one another. Thank you, thank you. The music was amazing and brought back lots of memories of yester years. We enjoyed everyone's company, I must say there was a big group together. THANK YOU! Thank you to Roland for taking me, inspite of all the pain her endures. I really worry about him. As you can see he has a hard time getting around.

I posted the picture of Camachos Universal Studios Friday adventure which some of the group was in, wish everyone was at Camachos at that time. What a great place to eat. Of course I totally adore Mexican Food, one of my favorites! I am sorry I did not get to post the picture Friday night. My modem went out on the computer, the scanner was not working. I found out that the power plug to my modem went out, I have ordered one and should have one on Tuesday.

Had a busy day on Saturday, catching up on all the housework chores and the backyard chores. My neighbor is now in an assisted living home and I am happy to say that she loves it. She has all her own belongings in the room with her. I stayed up all night cleanning the house, you know me every nook and cranny. It was our grandson's birthday yesterday, he was 13. We celebrated with a BBQ and gifts for him. Roland & I picked up mom yesterday morning, and brought her to our home for the day. Everyone had such a good time. I was hoping that my daughter April would take the rest of her belongings to her new home, not! Well maybe next time and maybe I will drive the truck out to Beaumont full, what an idea. LOL

Yes, thanks so much Mirtha for the show on Friday night. Paula says thanks too. Sorry I didn't join you at Rosemeads, but Paula wanted to go home to get her beauty sleep. Looking at me, you know I never get any beauty sleep, I would have been fine staying up until the wee hours. Not so fine in the morning though.

I guess our next get together will be the Homecoming game.(?)

Well, I guess I am either being ignored or no one thought having a big Pirate Halloween party was such a good idea.

I thought it just sounded like such a fun thing for all of us to do. Maybe that was just my old party days coming out again.

Or then again, maybe I was just looking for an excuse to escape some of the stress going on in my life. Each day it gets a little harder and harder for me to handle.

I still think it would have been a lot of fun. Maybe I could get my brother in on the deal and he could add his class of 65 to the list and we could have a Halloween party out at his ranch in Menifee. I can see us making a Haunted barn out there and having a hay ride and really just hooting it up. Any comments???

Can't see to get much response about having a October get together with the Pirates, so I am booking a flight to Palm Springs for October, I will meet up with my favorite cousins and then we are going to Havasu to a surprise birthday party for my brother.
Guess I may have to wait until the 50th to see you guys again. I wonder how many of us will still be around.

I guess I had forgotten about the 45th, as I recall that was the one we all took the survey on when we were at the 40th, in regards to where it should be held. Naturally, I picked Hawaii, or was it a cruise???? However, I think it came out Southern CA again.

Before too much more time passes and I forget. Thank you to the 22 Pirates/ their mates that were able to set aside some of their time to make the trek to Universal City in the So. Cal, Friday afternoon traffic, so that we, Paramount Pirates, could enjoy some good music and great company.

It was my pleasure to have been able to share the access to the event and venue. However, what made the event. for at least me was that each one of us contributed to making it a memorable evening by being there and sharing our time and space with each other. Hope we can continue getting together to create more memories in the near future.

Hey there....Loved the pic of Kris & Jenny on the Oregon coast and Amanda & Sydney. The grandkids are growing so fast. Kris, gosh I can't get over how much fun he is and hmmm so much like his Mom. Hope they can make a trip out this way again soon.

Mirtha, I know I'm speaking for everyone when I tell you that we really appreciate your sharing in your being able to access events. But I wouldn't give us too much credit for "setting aside our time" for a FREE concert to quality performers.

Lynne, Yep, the 45th will be in So Cal somewhere. But I'm sure there will be other opportunities for everyone to get together. And you'll see me there since I was asked while under the influence if I would be on the 45th planning committee.

And no doubt there will be other gatherings before the big 45. I'm pretty sure most of us who were in Vegas in June this year agreed we wanted to redo it every year, EXCEPT on the 5 and 10 year cycles when the major reuion kicks in.

And there's always homecoming (which I seem to remember someone saying they MIGHT be in town for, but I'm probably wrong)

On a personl note I didn't respond to the Haloween scene for a couple reasons. First, I'm not keen on costumes, tho I did enjoy coming up out of the audiance screaming "I did it" (who catches that reference). And when someone outside the area MENTIONS doing something, it's rough to respond not knowing the details.
Now I'm sure you didn't mean it but I some how felt we were all being scolded for not jumping on the bandwagon. The written word is real easy to be read so much more harshly than it's intended so I'm probably wrong.

All that aside, Palm Springs sounds like you'll have a great time. Enjoy.

Don, yes you are right about returning to Vegas in 2010 - and it looks like it will be around the first week-end of June. And you are also correct about not having a Vegas event during the big reunion years. Next years Vegas party is open to all Pirates and their guests. Marianna, Billie and I can't give any details at this time - but stand by.

Hope that if any of you talk to other Pirates you will pass on the info of another Vegas Party. Would be wonderful to see all Pirates.

Gary, if you have the opportunity would you mind passing the info onto the class of '69 this week-end would really appreciate it - and they can either call me or email Marianna, Billie or me.
