Becky Ortiz, thank you for the wonderful pictures you posted on Paramount High School, Alondra Junior High, and Major Lynn Mokler Elementary. It sure looks like security is tight. I work at an elementary site and we have security, however, it is nothing like it is there. The pictures brought back a lot of memories.

Prayers for Katie tomorrow, no preicous little angel like her should have to endure a surgery, but she is a fighter and God will be watching over her. Hang in there Grandma Billie, we will al be thinking about you.

Lorene my dear forever friend, thank you for the kind words of encouragement. Thank you for your support, it's always good to talk to you and know that you understand some of the issues that are going on in my life. As we have talked before, we both know that we were really very blessed kids to have the kind of parents and childhoods that we did. I know it's never easy losing a loved one, I just feel that I lost mine this past week but it took 11 long months. She is still here on this earth, but she will never really be my mom and best friend again. I hold her hand every day and look in her eyes as she babbles about things and just say ya I know mom, or what ever seems right at the time. We then roll down the hallway to another area, sit and she babbles a bit and I just hold her hand and look in her eyes and tell her how much I love her.....each morning I awake to go do the same thing day after day after day, and I will continue this battle until her end comes. BUT I will always remember how blessed I was to have her as my mother in this life.

God be with all of you out there dealing with your hard times too.

Lynne

Hi everyone
My Daughter is home again and there is a nurse that comes everyday to give her Med in her IV. Her dog was so glad to see her. I call him bad to the bone. There isn't very many people that he will let go by her. She looks good. I told her Doctor that I can't wate until she gets her Kidney. He said she'll get one. I do have something funny to say about the hospital.Theresa went shopping in the little store that they have and I guess she was so happy to that her heart rate was 136. Will they had the crash cart and the paddles in her room. Theresa Asked them what they were doing. They told her they were trying to find her and was afaird that she was on the floor some were. Miss understanding on were she was at. I told the Nurse that when a woman don't go shopping for 10day there heart will go off the charts when they do. She was ok Her heart does that after her treatment and she is use to it.

My prayers are with every one

Everyone have a nice weekend it will be in the 20s

Connie, you are simply amazing. We will continue to pray for your daughter in the hope that she will soon get a kidney. I know that my own father had only one kidney that was functioning since he was a young man in his 20's. They wanted to take the bad kidney out, but my dad would never let them. My sisters and I always told our dad if he ever needed a kidney that we would have given him one of ours.

Billie, the surgery by now is over for little Katie. We will continue to keep you/Katie in our thoughts.

Take care everyone,

Lorene

Peggy,
Thank you for updating us on Billie's precious little granddaughter. She is so young to have to go thru so much pain, hopefully this will be the last of the pain and that she will have speedy recover and will soon forget.
Lorene,
How did Roland's appointment go? Unfortunately what Fender did is not that uncommon. Please tell Roland, that I am looking forward to his knees getting taken care of so that we can meet up in Blythe, and I can watch him and Lonny play on that hydro chair. Also want you to know that I told Donna B. about your Mission outing suggestion and she and Dee S. are definately up for the Mission trip. I have never been there, but when I got together with Mickie Cannon and Vickie Otten, they had stated it was a fabulous place. So please add me to the list of interested.

To All,

Katie had surgery yesterday without complication. However, once back in her room and the anesthesia began to wear off she was in pain. It was difficult to sit by and watch as she cried with each move she made. Although Katie was given pain medication the dosage must have been minimal due to her size and weight (she is still very small for a one year old).

Katie is so much better today, she doesn't appear to be in pain, she moves with ease and smiles and laughs as she holds her favorite baby doll. We are thankful and relieved she is feeling so much better.

Many thanks to all of you for your thoughts, prayers, good wishes, emails, phone calls and text messages. I feel fortunate to know you and think that you are a wonderful group of people. I will always remember your kindness.

Lynne, Connie, Don, Rama, Lorene and Roland I will continue to pray for the physical good health and healing of you and/or your loved ones.

Again, many thanks Classmates --you're the BEST.

Billie

Connie, I've told you before how brave you are and what a wonderful example you are to all of us who have had healthy children.

Billie, It's wonderful to hear that your granddaughter has no complications from her surgery. It's amazing how children can handle being sick or in pain.

Marcia, Yes Roxy was a sweet dog. Of course, I even like pitbulls (including the one the bit me), but she was very sweet and a trickster. Marcia, Linda & I had a great time in Laughlin. We make Marcia an honorary Red Hatter every October. Next year though I think we'll be in Tennesse instead. We're just going to have to tranquilize Marcia before getting her on the plane.

More Pirate health problems. Pat just E-mailed me that her sister Judy had a stroke this morning. Judy has many health problems and needs to quit smoking. We need to keep Judy in our prayers.

Update on Pat's sister ---- Judy had an aneurysm rupture yesterday and is gravely ill. She is unconscious. The doctors don't have much hope for her survival. Please, please keep Judy, Pat and the rest of the family in your prayers.

Pat
I am so sorry to hear about Judy, you will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Life can be so cruel sometimes.

I am thankful that we have this forum for our Pirate support team. I know at times it all seems negative, but if we can all take a little bit of the negative from some of the others lives and try to brighten their days in someway or another, or just pray for them it's really what it's all about.

I know I appreciate all of you more than you will ever know.

God Bless you Pat, keep us posted if possible.
Love,
Lynne

I appreciate everyone's prayers and concerns. But Judy definitely needs a miracle now. The aneurism burst and she is unconscious. They are doing tests, but are pretty sure that she has massive brain damage. The next step will be to remove the respirator and let nature take it's course. That is unless the EEG comes out better than expected.
