Pat Kuester (Bowen)

Geneva, Soila graduated from Roosevelt, but then went to Our Lady of the Rosary & Pius.

I have a funny story too. (Don't I always, Marcia.) My brother-in-law's mother, Izora, was in a home and either had demetia or Alzheimer's. Every time my sister-in-law would go visit her she would tell her that Mac (her deceased husband) was having an affair with Nancy, the lady in the next room at the home. My sister-in-law finally got tired of hearing about Mac & Nancy's non-existant affair and told her that Mac was not having an affair with Nancy. Izora told her to look in her drawer, that there was a newspaper there with headlines about Mac & Nancy's affair. My sister-in-law said "Now Izora, you know Mac has been dead for 20 years." Izora said, "Yes, and I hope he is dead for another 20."

Pat ---- I can't believe I've never heard that story. It made me laugh. I love your stories.

When Grandma Jagger was in the nursing home, every man she saw she would tell me, "See that man, he wants to marry me." It didn't matter to her that they were oh, 50 or 60 years younger than she was. She especially loved men with beards.

Pat B.'s family continues to struggle. Her mom was diagnosed this morning with lung cancer which has spread to lymph nodes, etc. We really need to support Pat with our words and prayers.

Hi everyone. Been a little pre-occupied here at home. Jim my husband started a new chemo treatment a week ago. Friday morning started with a bad reaction to the treatment we think and has now can hardly see or walk. Bad headaches all the time. His doctor thinks his cancer may have moved to the brain....He has ordered an MRI to see what is going on. Please everyone keep Jim in your thoughts and prayers... This has been a real trying time....you never know like what life will throw us in a twinkle of an eye. One day you are find and the next your whole life has been turned upside down...

Everyone love what you have because we never know what tomorrow will bring...

All have a wonderful tomorrow....

Carol

Carol, What can I say? Everytime I tell someone about my mom, I think here I am feeling so sorry for myself and this person has lost their mother and/or father too. Then I feel pretty selfish.

By the way, Pat Denham, how is your brother doing? I've been thinking of him.

We're going to have to rename this Message Forum to the Prayer Forum or the Wailing Wall.

Surely someone has had something good happen in their lives. Don't feel shy about telling us. Hearing good things about other's lives will cheer us up some or make us jealous.

As for a fun thing to write about let me see.........oh my brother arrived from CA last night and tomorrow my husband and I are leaving for the coast for some much needed R&R.

Everyone take care.
Love
Lynne

OK HAPPY TIMES
I am going to some photos we took today from the coast of Oregon. My brother flew to Idaho to give me a little break, plus it has been a real eye opener for him to see my mom this way. Thank God for family.

Hope everyone is holding up.

Hey Randy Farina:

My brother loaded some photos of us when we were in the ski races when we were kids. I will try to load it for you to watch, it's kind of fun to see us ski racing from way back when. Ithink they include a race at the stadium.

I apologize for not getting back to everyone on how my brother is doing. He is starting to do a lot better. He is starting to eat on a regular basis and is able to get around without the walker. He will have to have a bag for the rest of his life but compared to the way he was living that is a blessing. He will be able to leave the house now. He will have home nursing for a while which he chose over going to rehab. Last time he was in rehab he ended up with pneumonia. I think he was afraid to go there again. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts and prayers. We are very pleased with the way he is improving.

Pat

Glad to hear that your brother is doing much better. So you are getting some nice cool weather huh. Love those cozy days and nights with the fire place going and a nice hot cup of hot chocolate. We will be not to far from you the weekend of November 13th. We will taking the motorhome to Julian at a resort of some sort. My neighbor wants us to go with them.

Pat sorry to hear about your sister and your mom. As always your pirates mates are with you in thought and prayer.

Lynne, glad to hear that you are having a great time. You know I almost bought a ticket from Southwest the other day when they were having that special so that I could visit you. Let me know when you have some time.

Roland is still hanging in there, hobbling around. At least I have insurance from my job for him now. Does not look like he will be going back to work anytime soon.

Take care all,

Love Lorene

Pat, Good choice on your brother going home. My sister-in-law had a mild stroke a few years ago, went to a convalescent home where they almost killed her. She is in far worse shape now than if she had only the stroke.

I always say hospitals are not for sick people.

Glad to hear your brother is better.

Please welcome our newest classmate to join our site, Mona Pittman Bergey. I was able to talk on the phone with her earlier this evening and tell her about the site and she has joined. Read a little about what she has been doing all these years on her profile.

And to Sandi Lint, I told you I would not stop looking till I found Mona. Well, here she is.

Hi all,

Hope everyone is doing well - so much has been going on with all of us.

Today, Stu and I had lunch with Kathy Hinkle, her husband Ed and daughter Christine. Had a great time at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar. I hadn't seen Kathy since we graduated. Ed her husband and daughter Christine were so nice. I posted a few pics on my profile.

Hey Don, Pat and Carol

We are in! Lonny does not want to miss the opportunity to get one of those bacon wrapped hot dogs that they sell at the game.

Just spoke to Linda to confirm with her, once she full fills her responsibility at half time we may just head on down to Gaminos for some great food/libations. Looking forward to seeing all of you, and hopefully we can get a couple of other classmates to join us.

Don and Geneva,
Just like last year, I'll be standing on that street corner waiting for you to pick me up. This time don't forget and leave me there all night. It was a rough night out there........lol

Everyone have a great time and behave yourselves.
