Hey Debbie, good to see you post on the site even if it was for a sad reason. I am saying my prayers for Carol and Jim and everyone else who is having a rough time. I guess my prayers and those of my fellow classmates were answered, my brother is doing well.

I just asked Mr. Steve about homecoming, it was a definate "NOT"!!! Oh well, there's always one spoilsport. Seriously he has to work tomorrow and there is no way we could make it down there in time for the game. Have a great time everyone.

Hi Pat....yes give your brother my best....seems we all have our problems lately....they just found a tumor on my left lung..I quit smoking 7 years ago..... I go for a PET scan next week to determine the stage and decide treatment plan......getting old is for the birds..........believe me Carol and Jim are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love to all
Debbie

For those who do not know. My husband Jim had a major stroke on the 30th of October. His Oncologist at first thought his cancer spread to the brain. After the MRI we found that he had a pretty good stroke and after talking to the Neurologist yesterday he is very lucky there was not more damage. He goes to see several more doctors in the next few weeks and more tests to see why this happened. His blood could have a thickened from the chemo, we don't know, but we do know it came from a vein in the back of his head. All in all he is actually doing pretty good and that is a direct result from many prayers going up in his behalf...Will post more as I find out more....Debbie I am so sorry all this happened to you....My thoughts and prayers go out to you as you well know....Love you girl...wish grandpa was around right now to pray over all of us....God listened to him without a doubt....

Hope to see many at the homecoming game tomorrow night...thank you Pat for letting me tag along with you and Don I think she meant to say save Pat and I a seat....LOL

Don, We have them and would like someone to save places for us to plant them on Friday night. I guess there are a lot of us with problems right now. I took Mom to the oncologist this week. The only thing they can do for her is chemo which would give her a few extra month. She opted not to do that. We are going to find out about hospice. She is 84 and says she is ready to go. She's going to join the Red Hat Society with me.

My thoughts go out to everyone.

P.S. Hope you all have a great time at Homecoming.

My Dear Classmates,
I am so sorry that we are all going thru some of the worst in our lives. However, I am very glad to be able to share with many of you, it's great that we have this site as a good support source.

My mom is not doing very well, and we will be moving her to another facility in 30 days.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as I hope yours are with me.

Lynne

The Usual Suspects gathered at PHS for Homecoming. As a game it wasn't much, a 42-7 loss to Gahr. Can't find any stats for Paramount but Gahr had 502 yards passing and 60 rushing. The poor Pirates probably had about a good a rushing game as Garh, but I think they only completed 1 or 2 passes in the first half. But the fellowship was the real reason for gathering anyway and that was top notch. After half-time we wandered the streets til we arrive at Casa Gamino for goof food, drink, and conversation. We talked about possible holiday gatherings (but I'm not making any announcement unless authorized my the hostess of such things grin) We spoke of Lorene's idea of visiting the Mission Inn in Riverside, and many seem interested just wondering when this might be? The lights are on nightly from Nov 27 thru Jan 3. Wishing everyone a great holiday season. We're going to Geneva's cousin for Thanksgiving and another cousin's for Christmas. And we'll make a day trip out to see my dad before Christmas as well. Will begin hanging lights the day after Thanksgiving and once we get ours up, we like to roam the country side taking pictures of all the neat displays. Thinking of everyone and thier loved ones, thankful that while I'm not in the best of health, I'm in no pain and fairly unrestricted in my activity. My dad's in better condition than I am, other than a problem with one eye (I won't tell you about the shots he gets in it, oops guess I did, huh) Everyone stay cool or warm as it fits your fancy, and stay safe til we gather once again. (Carol's camera has a group photo from Homecoming.)

Not much but the grass is now covered at least a tiny bit. I am sure my kids have lots more as they live north of us and right in the snow belt.....lucky ducks.

Hope you are all doing well and ready for a wonderful holiday season. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.
