Carol is on Kauai, not Oahu.  So little chance that she and Mike will hook up.

Happy Easter to all of our PHS classmates.

I sure would love to be with Carol in Hawaii right now. I just finished mowing my dads two acres, my hubby planted four new fruit trees in the garden. I feel like I have been run over by a freight train.......never knew my body could ache so much and it was a riding mower..........

If Carol has a car while she is here, she can call me at 808-223-6050 on my cell. I would enjoy taking her to the Pacific Club for dinner, next to downtown Honolulu. I'm a member there and it's a wonderful place for dinner or drinks. Kailua is a city on the island of Oahu, where I live. Perhaps you mean she is on the island of Kauai. Happy Easter everyone.

I just heard that Jimmy Armstrong, PHS Class of '71, passed away this evening from brain cancer.  Please keep his family in your prayers.

I have family in both Arkansas and Oklahoma.  The tornadoes were all around them, but their property did not get hit except for some wind and heavy rains.  I thank God they are all okay.

Hello Everyone!

It's been awhile. I've been very busy. Yes, the news of the midwest is just terrible. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of them and many of your families there.

Good news! Some of you already know because you have seen it on facebook. I am a new grandma once again. My daughter April gave birth to her first child, a girl "Abbey" on May 3rd. Needless to say, I am very excited about the new addition to our family.

Here she is in all her glory, little Miss Abbey Lee Jackson (our little southern belle).

Well school is just about out the high schools next week, then we will have 7 schools on Year Round. It's been a very busy year. Time to take a much needed vacation. Lynne will be at Riverland on the River over Labor Day. Hope to take a trip up North to see Maurene and also to my favorite place "Carmel".

Hope all is well with our Pirates!

Take care, love always!

Lorene

A new precious life is here with little Abbey, and now a new life is in Heaven with the passing of Joel Abler late last evening. Please remember Dottie in your thoughts and prayers.

I think many of us are now learning the turn meaning of the "circle of life".

thank you so much everyone, it's been so hard losing Joel.  We knew it was coming, but never can be ready for it.  He's in heaven now and not suffering anymore...I miss him so much!

Dottie,

Losing a loved one is never easy, (I lost some very close to me in April) however they will always live within our hearts and we can always smile and laugh at all the wonderful and happy times they gave us.  Joel is watching over you and will always be by your side. Blessings to you.

Peggy your words of wisdom to Dottie are so very true. It's been a year for me and I still miss my mom, but you know she is all arond me.  I am up at the lake house sitting in her chair, and opened one of  the arms where you can put your remote. There I found a baby photo of me when I was about two years old, I turned it over and she had kissed the back of it with her lipstick.  She will forever be a part of my life in my heart and all around me.

Had a great talk with Dottie today, everyone keep her in your thoughts and prayers and if you have time send a card of thoughts.

Dottie would like to change her profile photo on Facebook and she doesn't have any on her computer. Can anyone copy, paste, or whatever it is you do when you know what you are doing on a computer and maybe send her a photo of her at the class reunion?

Thanks to all of you.

Lynne

I searched my photos of the reunion (from my profile click on my picasa link) and in Pat's picasa site and didnt find any tagged or that I could recognize as dottie.  if someone has one and sends it to me i can crop it down and send it to her.

Mark Overstreet

Hello All!

I haven't been on the site for some time, so I missed the well wishes and Dorothy's loss.  I sent her a message.  She lived a few houses down the street from me. Our families even went camping up at Crystal Lake one Summer, when we were in elementary school (I don't think her dad would have mixed us kids together in a tent after 4th grade!).

I visited Randy Roberts a few times last months. He's doing very well.  I wasn't able to get in touch with Ron Dumphy, left messages etc.

Rosa and I are haveing a home built in the mountains above Reno. We plan to live there much of the time when she retires in a few years. Chris Winfield contacted me on Facebook. He lives in Reno too.

Our daughter, Erika, graduated from UC Davis last week. My little girl is growing up (boy will I be a mess when she gets married). The money we save  from not having to pay her tuition will pay for the Reno home!  We're taking her to Scotland for her graduation gift.

I hope to see you all sometime within the next year, someway, somehow.

Your friend,

Mark

Mark, it sounds like you have been busy and will continue to be busy for a while. Yes, our kids all grow up and go on their way.  It is sad at the time they leave us,  but we know they must begin their own lives and make their own future.

I was scheduled for knee surgery on the 29th, however my mother in law passed away that day.  She lived in Oregon but with my surgery coming up now on next Tuesday we were not able to attend. I had a EKG done prior to my first scheduled surgery, and they read it and thought I had had a mild heart attack, as well as a bundle block blockage of some sort. That stopped the surgery as well as any travel for me.  They sent me to the hospital for a nucleuar stress test, and I am happy to say I passed with flying colors, so now the surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday. Getting a little anxious about it, but will be glad when it's done and all of this pain is over with.......

Hope you are all doing well.

Lynne

Lynn who is doing your surgery?  In November I had surgery on my knee and a Dr. Olcamps did the surgery I was very happy with it.  I  saw a Dr. King at first and he wanted to do knee replacement.  Olscamp thought he could go in and clean some things up and put off knee replacement.

Had a dr appt yesterday and he sent me to x-ray and will followup with ortho.  Don't think mine are bad enuf for replacement and when first diagnosed with our frined Arthur Itis the ortho doc said he could scrape it out but it'd come right back.  anyway hoping to get the injections to build the artificial cushion.

A WAIST IS A TERRRIBLE THING TO MIND.

Hi Tom,

I went Dr. Dunteman who is a partner with  Dr. Olscamp. I have know Roger D for a number of years. they are both great ortho doctors.

I had my surgery this afternoon, I had a torn minacus and while he was in there he cleaned out some arthritis. It stil hurts pretty bad in the back of my knee, like it's catching. It did that before as well.  They had a little trouble getting my blood pressure to come up and my O2 sats kept dropping but all in all things went well. I walked up 13 stairs when we got back to the lake house, it wasn't easy but I did it and now I am beginning to feel the pain.

I so appreciate your note makes me know that it may be lots better soon.

Take care,

Lynne

Thank you to everyone that sent cards after my mother in laws passing, I appreciate all of you.

My knee surgery went very well, on day three and walking all around. Still have to keep the knee iced and elevated, but it's such a wonderful feeling NOT to have constant pain.

Hope everyone has a great time at Genny's get together. Wish I didn't live so far away.

Lynne
