​God Bless Tom and his family.  I was in his 11th grade English class but we seldom communicated.  I did get to talk to him at length at the last reunion.  He told me how he had a "growth spurt" after high school (he was already rather tall) and said that he would liked to have played on the basketball team.

Lost another classmate, just heard Richard Kincaid passed  away this morning of brain cancer.

I haven' seen Richard since our tenth year reunion. So sad to hear.

That was very thoughtful of you Marianna.  Thanks.  I sent him a message.  Ron was the first person from Paramount Jr. High that I'd met. At the track meet in 9th grade.  

I hope that you'll be at the reunion.  Hope all is well with you and your family.  

​P.S.  Art Salazar's operation was successful.  He's up and around now and is already working again (CPA).

Ahoy Classmates,

I am beginning to think all of us need this class reunion.

There are so many things going in our lives - we need to do something positive and all get together. I know my life alone is quite busy day to day. Seems like there is not enough time in one's day.

I cherish each and every moment of life, the love of family and friends. I am  deeply saddened by the loss of our classmates.

Well, I do believe it's time to party "Pirates"!

As many of you know our 50th reunion is at the Queen Mary on April 28th from 6:30 to 11:59 pm. in the Royal Salon on the Queen Mary.

We will have a photo booth with lots of props so that we can get silly with our pictures. A D.J. will be on hand to guide our celebration and to keep the music flowing. For those of you who like to line dance, maybe we can all get up and learn with you.

It's not to late if you would like to attend our reunion. The cost is $105.00 per person.

I don't see Jackie Petzold's name on the In Memory section; we lost her in 2015,  Adding this comment makes it so real - it was very hard for me to post even if it's been almost 3 years since I learned of her passing.

 I am not a regular on the web site, but do keep up with what is posted.  I am devastated on learning of Jackie's death, Molly.  I had no idea. I had lost track of her over the years, but Jackie and I go back to Captain Collins, Brownies, Girl Scouts, the band in elementary school, Rainbow Girls, Drill Team, ASB etc.  Even Jackie's mom and my mom were friends from "The Gardens".   Thank you for sharing.  It is hard to lose classmates, but ones you knew during all through elementary school makes it even harder to comprehend.

It seems like every month we hear of another classmate passing.  That's one very good reason why I hope that a lot of our classmates join us at the reunion.  I hope that we will see each other again and again, but the process of life continues it's course.

​I had Jackie in several of my classrooms at Capt. Collins.  I had a "crush" on her for years. I was glad to see her at one of our more recent reunions.  We worked together at the Tastee Freeze.  She was smart and a lot of fun.  Once, Randy Roberts brought a shopping cart inside the and Jackie got in it and he pushed her around the place. The customers were flabbergasted.  I admired her quest for knowledge.  Randy and I visited her at UC Santa Barbara and went with her when she bought a set of history books.  I clearly remember getting up enough courage to ask her to dance, at one of our "sock hops".  I stepped on her foot, she was kind to me, and didn't say a thing (but felt like a goof).   God Bless her soul and God Bless all those who she loved and loved her.
