Hello fellow Pirates.

I usually don't ask, however, I would truely appreciate your prayers for Stuart as tomorrow, Tuesday he will be having a triple bypass.  This was something that we thought would only be stents put in and ending up with a bypass instead. Thank you all in advance. Peggy

Hi Everyone,

Thank you so much for all of your prayers for Stu.  The surgery went well and the Dr came out to speak with us right after the surgery.  Stu was moved into the ICU unit directly from surgery.  We waited for several hours and then thngs took a turn.  At this time he is in critical condition and heavly sedated.  He has a nurse in his room who will stay with him the whole time.  Stu will be his only patient.  Please keep Stuart in your prayers. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart and Stuart's too.  I'll update you all tomorrow night as I am heading back over to the hospital in a few hours.

Good morning everyone and thank you so much for you prayers for Stu.  He is still in ICU and no date as to when they will move him to another room.  He has had a fever and last night it jumped to 104.3 and this morning it is down to 103.3.  He can't get below a 102.  They have him on antibiotics but still no help.  He has also been having breathing issues along with some other things.  Please keep Stu in your prayers. Thank you so much.

Again, I want to thank each and everyone of you for your thoughts and prayers for Stu.

This is what happened today.  The heart surgery went well, however when he got into ICU he coded and they had to do compressions and paddles.  Very blessed because both surgeons were in the cardiac unit checking on other patiets when it happened.  Sometimes the body does crazy stuff.  They removed the breathing tube yesterday and had tried 5 breathing items for him.  This moring his temp was 105 and as the day wore on it got to 100.8. At 4:30 this afternoon it jumped to 104 and back into A-FIB.  He has an infection and they are testing everything, and without all the tests coming back believe it's pneumonia and are treating him for it.  By 5:05, I didn't think they could fit so many people into that room, with the surgeon and assistance surgeon and another Dr. they sedated Stu and had to insert another breathing tube.  I was told that he will most likely being staying in ICU possibly thru all of next week.  Please keep Stu in your thoughts and prayers.  Y'all are the best.

How is Stu doing?  I haven't heard much in the last couple days, as they say"no news is good news" and I hope that applies to your Stu!!  Maureen how are you feeling after your hospital visit?  The July 13th dinner sounds like fun but I will have family coming in from Idaho on that day.  Ya'all have fun!!  Would someone explain the details on the picnic to me?

Good morning everyone.  Thank you so much for your continued prayers for Stuart.  He is starting to do so much better.  Yesterday he was finally able to get up and sit in a chair  and was taken off of the breathing tube a couple of days ago.  He is still being kept in the ICU unit thru this week then will be moved to a regular room.  If Stuart keeps up improving he may be able to come home sooner than expected.  They were also checking on getting me a home health care nurse to help out for a short period we will see if those options are still aailable when that time comes.  Our youngest son Clint will also be coming out for a couple of weeks to help me too.    Sorry for the delayed update on Stu's progress.

Again, thank you all so much from the bottom of our hearts for your thoughts and prayers. God Bless.

Peggy.

So sorry that I will not be able to attend the July 13th dinner. We have visitors coming in from out of town. Also, I can not attend the Oct. picnic.  My Mom’s Family has our annual family picnic on that same day. We have had our yearly  family picnic ever since my Mom  was young.  (She will be 92 in Oct.!). My grandparents started this tradition in order to keep the family together. We always look forward to seeing everyone. . It has been amazing seeing all the changes thru the years. We have lost many family members but also have had new ones added. The circle of life is amazing and a true blessing.
