Is that Riverland Resort on the Kings River off of Hwy 99?

Glen Riverland Resort is on the CA side of the Parker Stretch. Love it you can back your RV up to the water.

Our Riverland is about 13 miles from my house.  Unfortunately, new responsibilities to my position with my Rotary Club will keep me close to home through much of this year.  But we are looking forward to 15 days in and around Italy and Spain next year!  Have fun and keep the suntan lotion close by.

Well. Mr. Black, sounds like you have a good life.  The Rotary Club is awesome. They do many great things! Sorry I did not get a chance to speak with you at the reunion. You were all over the place and looked to be having a great time! It was hard trying to chat with everyone. Maybe next timeπŸ˜€.

Ditto!!  Not sure about next time though.  Should have grabbed me, (like some other classmates) and said, “Let’s dance”!  Would have loved to catch up.

Yes, Rotary is a wonderful organization and has got me hook, line and sinker!  I am the President of our club this year and know that the next 12 months will improve me and my character for life.  If you are on any social media and want to catch up that way let me know.

Hello All,

I hope that your all well and having an enjoyable Summer.

Are we still having the "Get Together" at Casa Gamino on Friday, July 13th?  I have it marked on my calendar. Rosa and I were in Reno last week and had dinner with Gary and Lori Buice.  They said to say hello to all of you.  Their son, Jack, has been the defensive coach for Reed High School in Sparks, NV.  He took his team to the State Football Championships 3 times.  They lost to Bishop Gorman, the number one high school football team in the nation (from Las Vegas).

Jim Weatherspoon called me a few weeks ago.  Said he would have liked to have seen his old classmates.  I hope to visit him in the near future.  He and Diana, class of 1969, live in Yucipa, near their daughter and grandchildren.

Hey Pirates!

Sorry I missed dinner at Casa Gamino. Thanks for the calls wondering where I was.

Went fishing thinking we would be back early but the skipper had other ideas and we got back a lot later than planned. Still had fish and gear to clean afterwards.

I'm glad to here you all had a good time.

Regards,

Mike

Please keep Marcia Kraft Barringer and her family in your thoughts.  Her husband, Denny (another Pirate), is under hospice care with colon cancer.  He is in his final stages.  Marcia has been nursing him for several months.  She is at her son's, and both boys are close by.  She is going through a lot right now and could use prayers and good thoughts.  She isn't communicating with people as she is dealing with a lot right now.

Thx for letting us know, we will surely pray for them both.

May the Lord of Peace rest upon their hearts & minds. Give them your strength Lord in this hour. We bless Denny & ask for grace to cover him.

Hi Classmates
It is so great to read all of the stories of how you all are stil getting together. These are the times it's hard living so far away. I am happy I got to see many of you at the 40th. I think this really shows what a great class of 68 we had.
I hope this finds you all doing well
Love to all
Lynne

Hi Don,

So nice of you (and Mark) to step up and begin the process with the 55th reunion. I just wanted to share my thoughts. I feel San Diego and all of the surrounding casinos out does Vegas any day of the week. Pala Casino and Harrah’s Casino are so nice and has accommodations for banquets. There’s also Pechanga (Temecula area) that just completed an expansion. San Diego offers diverse entertainment for those classmates that would like to make a 3-4 day weekend getaway; Gaslamp District (downtown), Seaport Village, USS Midway, Shelter Island, Coronado, Petco Park (baseball), San Diego Zoo, and Safari Park, Julian, golf courses, etc., etc.! Since we’ve already had a reunion (and get-togethers) in Vegas, my opinion is to have the next one in San Diego.

Some of us got together, Aug. 18, 2018, at the Paramount Community Center.  Good food, good talking and some dancing.  Pattsy, Ernie, Ofelia, Jeri, Mark, Manuel, Don, Genevieve.  We met Pirates from the class of 54 and other years.

Great idea, Sandy.  And thanks, Mark, for leading!!!

If I can second the motion for San Diego, it's a shorter drive, a cooler drive, and a lot more pleasant weather.  OK, no Wayne Newton.  But that's not all bad.  :)

The fact that I live down here has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with my preference!! :) :)  (But, it really is nice, down here.)

Pot luck.  Good food, beer and great talking to old classmates.
