Hi Pat, and all you other classmates,

Just for you, I did not finish the driveway, too much ice so I have lots of ice melt down where the ice is. The walk is about 2/3 done... same thing there. The back deck is all done, and the dogs appreciate that. I even had to clear an area for them in the yard to potty in just off the patio at the bottom of the deck... I did post some of the pics. of the buffalo... I wish I had thought to get a pic of Pam but I was busy trying to hush her up as remember I am still outside of the truck.
The last thing I want is to call attention to us.

I also have some beautiful pics of the Tetons. If you're interested send me your email and I can attach a file to you.

happy new year one and all

All my Christmas pics are up at our picasa site (reachable from my profile). Even a couple small videos of places that stills didn't do justice.

We're spening New Year's Eve with Walt and Mickey (Disney and Mouse, that is.) should take enough pics to warrant it's own gallery. Providing they come out, night shots are hit and miss, but I am taking my tripod that folds down pretty small, so my fingers are crossed.

Everyone stay safe, and, one way or another, SEE YA NEXT YEAR!

Let's raise a glass or two, my dear
To welcome in another New Year
And remember to cherish the time,
In Oh nine!
Happy New Year to All, and I'll talk to you next year!!

Happy New Year everyone. I'll be in touch next year.
So, we're talking about meeting in Coeur d'Elane.
I think that could work for me.

oh my gosh, Ray, those buffalo are way, way too close for comfort. I cannot believe you did that. No wonder you had to try to calm Pam down.

Ray:

Awesome pictures! Sitting here in my comfy jammies (yeah, I KNOW it's 9:00 on New Year's Eve but by midnight I'll have drool on my pillow) perusing the PHS site I'm thinking, "how cool to be that close to the buffalo? bison?" but perhaps had I been in the car I might have felt differently.

Happy New Year to all. How grateful I am we reconnected in 2008 and hope we have many more years of bitching, laughing, crying, forgiving, loving and generally sharing the ups and downs of life together.

Molly

Hi Molly,

You must be at the same type of New Year's Eve party that I'm at. All snuggled up in our jammies, just played a few games of Yahtzee and lost all three games.
Ate a few snacks, and think we are calling it a night pretty darn soon. whoopie, guess that birthday on the 28th really shows my age, to tired to party.

Molly, you said some great things on your last post and some really true to life statements, we have had a great year of reconnecting, griping and groaning, complaining, but most of all rekindling old friendships.

Some folks may think we are being to mushy on the class forum, but bottom line is that is why this forum was created by such a wonderful classmate, just so we could reconnect.

I can honestly say, had this web site not been created when it was, prior to our 40 year class reunion, I probably never would have gone to the Las Vegas reunion.

As many of you know, that was my first reunion ever and that was due to all the joking and encouragement from many of you on this site.

I look forward to a new year with more new opportunities to meet up with old friends and new.

Happy New Year to all of you and don't forget to Count your blessings and don't forget to be greatful for all that you have.

Lynne

Molly, Lynne,

I couldn't have said it any better. This year has been so much fun meeting up with old friends and making friends with people I knew in high school but didn't know well. I look forward to the new year and hope we can make the Idaho trip in August. We won't be able to make the Vegas trip, maybe next time.

Have a great New Year.

Pat

Don Deyne...You have taken fantastic photos of Disneyland!! Christmas is my very favorite time of year for "The Happiest Place on Earth", it is so beautifully decorated!! I used to not miss a Christmas then 5 years ago was the first total hip replacement, Nov. 2007 the second one so by Dec 2009 I will be past ready!! I was one who took my hips and legs for granted, not now!! Anyway, Thank You so very much, your photos have made me a happy girl!!

Glad you liked the photos, Robin. We wanted to go earlier in the season but got lax and then the COLD hit and we had to get it all done in 2 days. Don't think we'll ever attempt New Years Eve again. We went 2 years ago and I swear the crowd was 2 to 3 times as bad. We didn't even attempt any rides the 2 days we went. We may go back Sunday with the real video camera (the ones i have were taken with our Kodak digital camera) to capture the castle lighting ceremony. It was IMPRESSIVE and the low quality video doesn't do it justice. The budget won't allow renewal of our annual passes for awhile so once the crowds settle down we'll be making a few trips til my pass runs out end of Feb. We haven't been on Small Worls since it reopened (it was closed from Jan til the Christmas decorations went up) or the new Toy Story ride in California Adventure. We'll take more pics and probably just add them to the same gallery.

Have a happy..........

Hey Lynne:

Isn't that an awfully long trip on a snowmobile? All the way to Yellowstone?!?!

01/02/09 07:12 PM #1415

Lynne Scales (Thurman)

Don, you are too silly. We drive to Yellowstone then check into the lodge and then we get on the snowmobiles.
We do drive 80 miles a day sometimes, it's wonderful.

I loved your photo of Disneyland, that was beautiful.
Thanks for always sharing your photos with us.

Lynne

OK Pirates,
It seems like so many of you are going to both Las Vegas and Idaho, I am thinking maybe we should just all go to the Las Vegas mini reunion again on June 6th.

It may be best for me as well, as many of you know my Mom is not doing very well. We had to have the amublance called the other night, things are just getting worse. So, maybe it's just best for us all to join back up in Las Vegas and skip Idaho this time.

Maybe we can do Idaho another time. Maybe things will work out at another time.

Love,
Lynne

Lynne,

I think you maybe right. You do have your hands full at the moment with your mom and she really needs you right now and you don't need the extra stress if everyone invading on you up there. We will keep you in our prayers.

Carol,

Thank you for your understanding, I had no idea this disease was going to affect her so fast. It's been a really horrible week, I've spend most of my evening in tears. Thanks for understanding, and I hope the rest of our classmates will understand as well.

God Bless You All
and I hope and pray none of you will ever have to deal with this disease in your life time.
Lynne
