No, Lynne don't go shopping unless you are buying shorts and stuff. It is casual, but we are having a buffet dinner and the dress code there is also casual - so put away the formal attire. This is a Vegas Fun Party. I am sure you are aware that whenver you book an event at a hotel they have you sign a contract and guarantee funds, which I am doing, and we also have to submit a catering plan to them. It takes alot of work to do this and we are working as fast as we can to have it all in place and as Billie explained she will have info posted to the forum soon.

Look for your info also in the mail very soon too.

Peggy

Peggy,
Don't fret I really was only kidding, but shorts are not in my future these old legs haven't seen the sun light in years!! Nor the gym!!! LOL

Now, I am sure there are a few gals who could show up in their bikinis and still turn heads, but not Mrs. Idaho here.

Sounds like lots of fun, it sure is alot of work to pull something like this off isn't it? I've planned a few weddings out at the lake house and it can be over whelming, so a big round of applause to all of you that have worked on this mini reunion, Lorene's mini reunion, and our big 40th reunion.

A big huge Thank You to who ever it was that took the time in the very beginning to search and find all of our names for our 40th. That must have been a huge task in itself.

I got a couple of emails asking if I knew what happened to Sheila Lauriat, does anyone know anything?

Thanks again for everything.
Lynne

I WIN I WIN I WIN, I GUESSED THE GOLDEN NUGGET.
AHH, TO BAD THERE WASN'T A CONTEST. I LOST THE LAST CONTEST OF THE LONGEST MARRIED BY A FEW MONTHS.

SOUNDS LIKE IT'S GOING TO BE SO MUCH FUN AGAIN!!!

NOW, JUST GETTING FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE GOLDEN NUGGET WILL BE MY BIGGEST PROBLEM. I REALLY HATE THE LAS VEGAS AIRPORT IT IS OVERWHELMING.

SO FOLKS THAT ARE FLYING IN PLEASE POST YOUR ARRIVAL TIMES, MAYBE SOME OF US CAN HOOK UP. I WILL BE THE DUMB LOOKING LADY FROM IDAHO, HEY I WILL EVEN HOLD UP A SIGN IF YOU WILL HELP ME OUT. LOL

THANKS EVERYONE! LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL.

Lynne, take a shuttle bus from the airport to the Golden Nugget, it's only $8.00 per person. The shuttle buses are right outside the luggage pick-up doors, you'll see the shuttle vans, it's easy to find. Don't forget to sling a bag of taters over your shoulder --just for the visual interest of fellow travelers! lol

Lynn Sheila passed away from Cancer. I don't remember what type. That has been several years ago. So sad. She too was a big part of our class. Thank goodness to our knowledge no other classmates have passed on since our last reunion and I hope it stays that way....

01/26/09 07:04 PM #1626

Billie Hundley (Linnane-Miller)

Good catch, thanks Carol.

01/26/09 07:34 PM #1627

Lynne Scales (Thurman)

OK Billie I will try the shuttle bus thing, but where in the heck do you put all your luggage, and my sack of potatoes? Now if my husband is able to attend, I have no worries at all. He is asking his boss tomorrow, that should give them enough time to find another crane operator.

If he can't make it, I will be looking for a room mate.
Not sure what Betty, or Stephanie have planned yet. Sounds like the twins will be able to bring their husbands so I'm out there. Susie is going to be doing a great deal of traveling just prior to our reunion so she is not sure she will be able to make it.

Love you all

01/26/09 07:44 PM #1628

Billie Hundley (Linnane-Miller)

Lynne, if your hubby isn't able to attend, someone will bunk with you, just post a message on the forum, you'll find a roomie, or maybe you can triple bunk with a few girls?

01/26/09 09:34 PM #1629

Peggy Steiner (Miller)

First off thank you Billie for gettingthe posting taken care of and thank you Carol for getting it up on the home page. This will be so much fun and I am sure everyone will have a great time.

Lynne,
Now, you look just great and I am sure you will look great in shorts too and if nobody likes it - well too bad. Ya just gotta have fun. Durin g the 40 year reunion Pat Kuester and Phyllis did pretty much oall of the leg work in finding classmates and they did a wonderful job of it. If fact girls if anyone has any new address please let me know so I can get a flyer out to them. Lynne, I hope Martin is able to make it - that would be a nice get away for the 2 of you that is if he can put up with all of us crazy pirates.
Yes, as the comittee members from the reunion can confirm it is alot of work to put these events together but the enjoyment everyone gets out it is worth a million.

Take care
Peggy

Lorene BuSteed (Householder)

A huge thank you to Marianne and Peggy for making our 2nd Vegas Reunion possible. Thanks so much!

It sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun. Hopefully, I will be able to just sit down and talk to everyone, that would be GREAT! The time passed by so quickly last time.

Gals, the location sounds great, especially Friday night! I have not been to that area of Las Vegas in years. Usually go in the other direction.

Lynne, as far as I know right now, Roland is going, he could change his mind. Vegas is really not his thing. I love it! If Roland goes, we will drive and if he does not go, I will fly. Either way, I will make sure you get to the hotel ok.

Lynne don't feel bad about your anniversary, poor Roland was exhausted from working, I worked late. You won't believe it, but we ate at Sizzler, I can't believe we had our anniversary dinner at Sizzler. We were both to tired at the moment.

Pat I like your snowman.

Take care everyone,

Lorene

12:58 PM, Mothers Intuition I couldn't sleep just could not sleep. I got up and came downstairs turned on the old lap top. First thing that pops up on my computer is breaking news of a house fire in Spokane Valley, the house is fully involved and they are evacuating houses nearby. Now most of you know my son is a fireman/paramedic in Spokane Valley. So, now as a mom I get to sit here and say prayers that he will be safe.

Tonight my police son is off, so I knew I didn't have to worry about him. The worry never stops no matter how old they get, they will always be your babies, right all you mom's out there?

Wish some of you were up and on line to talk too.

Guess I will have to wait until tomorrow.

Lynne Scales (Thurman)

OK another guess of who the mystery guest is going to be: HOW ABOUT ELVIS??????

OK it's 1:30 AM now and the warm milk and honey are not doing a thing for me. I just need to learn how to drink hard liquor or something.

Guess you can call me sleepless in Moses Lake, it's about half way to Seattle! Get it?

Marianna Brown I noticed an American flag by your name and that you were in the Army, way to go tell us what you did in the Army. I'm impressed and can't wait to hear about it.

Ok, did you ever feel like you were talking to yourself, guess I'm at that point now. Guess I will give in and go back upstairs and snuggle up to hubby and see if I can get some sleep.

Sorry to bore all of you.

Hey everyone, if you don't need a letter from Peggy outlining the details of this party, please let her know and she can save the postage. I think we have already gotten the details that we will need here on the forum and she should not need to send us the same thing in the mail. Just tell her here and she won't have to send anything to you. Just please send her your money right away so that she can get the deposit made to the hotel.

Lynne,
So sorry to hear that Martin won't be able to make it. So looking forward to meeting him. Maybe things will change and he will be able to sneak away that week-end. I know how it goes with jobs, when I worked in the call center it was tough sometimes for us to get the same vacation schedules, but now that Stu and I work in the same department it is alot easier to work around. We are pretty lucky we both went on 4-10's and have the same days and hours, great for car pooling too. We both moved to the Construction department me 2 years ago and Stu 7 months ago. Our prayers are with you and hope that it works out for you and Martin to both come to Vegas.
Peggy

Peggy,
Thanks for your kind words, it's so frustrating right now. I wanted him to come and meet you guys so bad, he would have been so pleased to meet so many of you that I am always talking about. Now I wonder if I should even go, I've been twice already. Just don't know right now.

My friend Lorene, received a wonderful package in the mail today, thank you for the beautiful scarf and the hats I LOVE THEM.

Hope to talk to you soon
Love,
Lynne
