Thanks Lynne for your suggestion. What ever we do it will more and likely be more than one day or one evening.

Geneva I enjoyed the pictures of all the classmates. I only wish my family had not moved so much when I was young. They finally settled down in my third grade year and then moved to Paramount in the summer before 8th grade. Marianna Brown was my first friend and a dear friend thru the years following high school.

Found the program form the combined 6th Grade Graduation.

Where were you in '62...... Individual school rosters are easier to read at the picasa site.

Carol, 3rd grade pics are next in line.

Geneva, I didn't remember that we had a huge combined promotion from sixth grade. Thanks for posting that.

Mirtha Camacho (Rayburn)

Geneva and Don,

The 2 of you are great with all the bits of computer knowledge and memories that you provide for us on this and your own websites.

Thanks to you, I now know the answer to "Where were you in '62?". I was standing proudly, singing songs such as "No Man Is An Island" as a member of the glee club! After mastering "Hot Cross Buns? aka "Three Blind Mice" I suppose I moved on to the glee club, suprisingly, because I still can not carry a tune.

Really enjoyed seeing those elementary school pictures, some of you haven't changed much.

I am looking forward to seeing you and some of the others at the June get together.

Geneva and Don,
I couldn't agree with Mirtha more, what fun that was looiking at all of those photos. You two have done a great job. I couldn't believe how much Gary and Mary Nelson still looked the same to me. Look at little Ernie Hinijois, I couldn't believe it.
Thanks for all the memories.
Lynne

Carol, the new do is gorgeous. I'll bet you love how easy it is.

I just told Steve the other night, that is one thing I miss about my youth is my long beautiful hair.

04/01/09 06:58 PM #2028

Carol Maddex (Switzer)

Thanks! You don't have to be young to have long hair...Didn't you go to beauty college too? I think as my memory has left me some time ago, we were in school together....

04/01/09 09:14 PM #2029

Patricia Hamilton (Denham)

Yes I did go to beauty college. I tried the long hair but it just didn't work with the colored hair. It got way to dry. I tried it again with the gray hair. It just kinda stuck out all over. Getting up at the crack of dawn like I do it is much better short. A little water, a little styling gel and I'm off.

Your's looks very cute and sooo shiny.

04/01/09 11:24 PM #2030

Carol Maddex (Switzer)

If I worked your hours I probably would just shave my head. I am not a morning person and if I had to get up that early each day I would probably wear a wig....LOL

04/02/09 06:29 AM #2031

Phyllis Willhite

Great new do, Carol. I bet it's much easier and faster.

04/02/09 10:33 AM #2032

Carol Maddex (Switzer)

Yes Phyllis it is easier...

Happy Birthday to Robert Broeker! Have a Marvelous Day!

Lynne Scales (Thurman)

Pat, Carol and Phyllis:

I am in the process of attempting to grow my hair out. This is probably the 50th time I have tried to grow it out. Only this time my sweet little hairdresser daughter in law is on vacation in your neck of the woods. So, I am kind of being more or less forced at this point.

The wig deal sounded good, but then I really gave it some thought and realized that's just nothing like the real thing.

Phyllis your hair is beautiful long and curly, Carol your hair is just about the length I am going for. Pat, your hair is like my hair normally is and I've always loved having short hair and always got complimented on my "do" so now I am thinking why in the heck am I trying to grow it out?????????? LOL

Hey, I hope you guys have a great time in Vegas. My brother will be here that week to help with the transition with my Mom, so I knew in my gut there was a reason I needed to be here....there you have it.

Love you guys
Lynne

Robert Broeker

Thank you Carol, it will be a nice day, our kids will be in for the week end and my g-daughters.

Hope you and and your family have a great day.

...bob...

Carol Maddex (Switzer)

Lynne growing the hair is at times trying. Each time you do your hair as it grows out it will be something different you will need to learn to do....I love your hair short and with the weaving it is really cute.....I am sure your daughter-in law will return soon....Don't fret

Hugs,
Carol

I can not believe how many of the Pirates have birthdays this month. I think we are going to have to go back to July of 1949 and see what the weather was like then......hummmmm

Phyllis Willhite

It must have been very hot then.

Phyllis,
I'm thinking it must have been very COLD in July time for folks to SNUGGLE. :-)
