I would love a pastrami!!! I am so sorry that I haven't gotten back to you sooner. Work has been crazy! I have had one day off in the last nine days. Again sweetie...I would LOVE a pastrami!

I am going to go back and remove some of the posts that were done after I put in my comment about the postings. Let's all put this unfortunate incident behind us and think before we type in something that the whole forum will read.

Here's a thought. How about the golden rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. That goes for saying to others what you would have them say to you.

Phyllis,
Very well said. The Golden Rule.

Marianna,
When those pastrami's get here we need to hide them from Stan & Stu :)

After sleeping on what went on yesterday I am very sorry for the inconsiderate remarks I made. We have a classmate here who really does needs our thought and prayers to get thru everyday trials. Please except my apologies...

Here's a thought, those of us who don't know what happened might get paranoid and wonder if we might say something objectionable and thus some will just silence them selves.

I don't wanna keep stirring the hornets nest but isn't this a form of censorship?

some of us spent time in service to a country that allows free speech, and while i don't want to start more trouble if someone wants to be a knucklehead perhaps the entire community should be given the full story instead of snippets and made to wonder just what the heck is going on.

I'll go to my corner and shut up now. (small laugh - I'm not quite as worked up as this may sound, just had to get it out there to be thought about)

Don, suffice it to say that words were exhanged that should not have been on our forum and they have been removed because to keep them there would possible cause harm to the forum and perhaps some including those who check in but don't necessarily write anything might think twice about whether it is worth their time or not. Censorship is not what is intended, but we cannot have inappropriate remarks made. There was somewhat of a dispute and that is not the purpose of our forum. Those kinds of things need to be handled off the form by the persons involved. The whole class does not need to be aware or involved. Sorry if you don't agree, but we had to make a decision as to what was best for the whole forum, not just a few.

Thanks Phyllis

OK, I understand how Don feels and I just want folks to know that it wasn't me.

I know that right after the reunion I was verbally attacked on the forum and wasn't given the opportunity of someone as kind and caring as Phyllis to removed it. It was very embarassing and I think Phyllis has good intentions of saving us all from being verbally attacked in a public forom by a person who really needs help.

Hope that makes sense.
Lynne

Don, I missed it too. Although I have spies everywhere who keep me informed. But let's make a deal. If either one of us sees anything on the forum which we feel is controversial, let's copy it and e-mail it to each other to make sure we get to read it. That way when it is (rightfully) erased we'll at least know what has been said.

Pat,

You are so bad, and all these years they blamed me for being the trouble maker.....laughing your way. Hope things are going well for you.
Any new trips in your future? Have you heard anything from Paula? I wish she could join the forum with us, it would be nice to catch up with her again.

Lynne

Paula & I tried to get together not too long ago, but it didn't work out. She is doing okay; she is very busy at work. Her daughter, Marci, was a teacher an elementary school in Paramount, but got laid off. I'll e-mail her tomorrow to see how she is doing. She doesn't have a home computer, which makes it hard to visit this site.

I just got back from a Mexican Riviera cruise. That is probably my only big trip this year.

I have gotten calls about what to wear at the party in June. Remember that the Vegas Party is going to be very casual....Guys, no suits...ties. Ladies, no dresses or pantyhose. They just won't be allowed. Shorts...tee-shirts sandals are all OK! Come and be comfortable!

04/27/09 12:35 AM #2204

Pat Kuester (Bowen)

Okay Marianna, that means I'm wearing a moo-moo.

04/27/09 12:59 AM #2205

Marianna Brown (Schechter)

Pat,
You can wear anything your little heart desires...except a dress or pantyhose. Now I didn't say the guys couldn't wear them or that ladies couldn't wear a suit and tie. :-)

Hi everyone
I hope I didn't say anything worng. I did go back and read my old message and my spelling was really bad. I think my mine is going a mile a minute then I type.
I'm sorry if I said something wrong. Take care and have fun in vegas. Some times I think I have old timers.
Take care.

Patricia Hamilton (Denham)

Connie, you said absolutely nothing wrong. We are all here to listen for you. We have you in our prayers and in our thoughts. I personally know what you are going through although we were the lucky ones. My neice was a perfect match for my sister-in-law and she donated a kidney a couple months ago and it has made all the difference in the world for Sharon. We are so thankful.

Please be sure that the administrators on this site have taken care of the problem and it is no one that is chatting on our forum at this time.

Connie,
I think that you and I were both sharing the same concerns. At first I thought maybe I had been talking way to much about the negative things happening in my life, dealing with my mom and the Alzheimer's disease.

As you can see by the forum our kind and caring PHS classmates, are not concerned about that. The problem has been taken care of, and we have been encouraged to share our thoughts and feelings as we have done in the past.

I know it's helpful to be able to talk to all of you when the times are rough. I've been blessed with some really great new PHS friends, that have actually gone thru some of the things that I am currently going thru with my Mom and that has been very helpful.

Sounds like you and Pat have a good connection with the issues you are facing with Therese. We are blessed to have them in our lives.

On another note, my brother leaves Idaho tomorrow. He has been freezing ever since he got here. Today it's only 43 degrees and windy. We have had little bits of snow, rain, and hail since he's been here. He can't wait to get back to the sunshine in CA. He will fly back up in about 10 days. I'm going to have my hands full during that time. It's been a big relief having him here while my dad has some what adjusted to my mom no longer being home. Actually, I don't think he will ever really adjust, but he just tries to make the best of it.

Hope you all have a great day.

Lynne how is the water pumping...Done or still pumping?

04/27/09 07:56 PM #2212

Lynne Scales (Thurman)

Hi Carol,

Thanks for asking, we are finally done with pumping that darn water out. The last day we used the water to fill up our pond/waterfall it was a real bonus.

I just heard on the news that it's supposed to snow here again on Tuesday. I thought spring had sprung, we have our flower bulbs coming up all over. Crazy weather.

Talk to you soon.
Love,
Lynne

Gloria,
Thank you, you are a doll. Marianna and I are looking forward to those Pastrami's.

Don,
You just gotta out hide the hubby's. Mine knows they are coming so I know he is going to watch every move so as not to miss out :)

Take care and will see you in June

Pat Kuester (Bowen)

Lynne, I e-mailed Paula today. She is very busy at work. Marci got hired back at the school district, but doesn't know which school or grade she'll be teaching. Lisa re-enlisted in the service for another 4 years and will be going to Korea.

04/28/09 10:22 AM #2215

Lynne Scales (Thurman)

Pat,
That's really great news about Marci getting hired back, no matter what grade I'm sure she is happy. Sounds like Lisa enjoys being in the service, good for her. I'm sure Paula is very proud of her.
Please tell her I said hi the next time you have a chance to talk.

Have a great day and thanks for the info.
Lynnd
