I don't think they let people stay over night on the beaches anymore....My niece is turning 13 tomorrow and she is having a beach party next week-end....she is so excited about the bonfire they are planning....to tell you the truth since we spend so much time in Hawaii it is really hard to get excited about our local beaches around here...

Lynne are you coming to California again?

06/14/09 10:21 AM #2443

Lynne Scales (Thurman)

Yes Marsha I am planning a visit to California in October. Not sure of the date yet, but I can't wait.
It will be nice to see some of our classmates again since I missed out on Vegas this time.

I just got back from my hectic weekend. Went to Yosemite on Saturday, was at Bass Lake Saturday night and at the Ahmanson this afternoon.

Lynn by just adding your one little sentence you weren't keeping your mouth shut. Now were you?

I think we all need to lighten up on who posts on this forum. I get my feelings hurt every other day depending on my estrogen levels and have even contemplated removing my info from the forum depending on hormone levels. The only reason I haven't is because I realize I am a nut and also am too lazy to do it right away. My gosh, if I was ever having a really severe psychotic episode and did remove myself from the forum, and then was blocked it just might push me over the edge. Meaning I would have to join the Class of 68 Bellflower High School or even worse Warren High. Please do not ever put me in the position to have to make that change.

Geez, Pat, just from your extensive traveling this past week or so, makes me so tired I need a nap. Oh wait, it's ten thirty....bedtime!

Pat,
Excellant response. We all have good and bad days and this is the class of '68 forum. Yes, sometimes we all do say things that we shouldn't but we should allow the postings. I appreciated your comments. We just all need to move on, right? I can tell you some of my days are really crazy and I just know the guys in the little white coats are waiting for me to come outside :)

Sounds like you had a great vacation and back home safe and sound.

Peggy

Pat,
Glad you had a good trip, now maybe you can get some much needed rest. It must be exhausting traveling so much. I hated it when I had to drive to see my husband once a week when he was working away from home. It started to wear me out.

Don't know exactly what you were trying to say about the comment I made, but I deleted it just in case it was something that upset you.

God only knows we don't need any more drama on this site. We all have a lot going on in our lives and need to be there for each other. I know I am very thankful for our forum and all the really wonderful classmates we have been able to reconnect with.

Hang in there, I'll tell you I've been having some of those kinds of days myself. It's been a very trying time with things going on in my life with my parents.

Some people don't realize that what my mom has is a terminal disease, it may not be the horrible word CANCER that we all hate to hear, but in a way it's just about as bad as it's eating her brain away each and every day.
Life is hard watching your loved one go thru this, so having you guys here on our forum to talk to has been a great help.

Talk to you soon.
Lynne

Lynne, Your Dad's car is a beauty! and the blue 66 mustang next to it, I had one just like that right out of high school. Wish I'd of keep it. Maybe my 94 silverado full size truck will soon be a vintage truck! Whoo--Hoo--!...I am SANDI, I AM....

Lynne, You need to take anything I say, especially on this forum with a grain of salt. Unfortunately, when you read my postings you can't see my tongue in my cheek. This is probably a good rule of thumb to use when we read everyone's postings.

Let me see, are there any more cliches I can use in this message?

Oh yeah, like they say in L.A. have a really nice day.

Hi Sandi,
Thanks my dad was pretty darn excited about being in the parade. He's never entered his car in anything before. The funny part of it is, he had this little fat guy that has a suction cut on it, and you stick it to the window and then you squeeze this ball and he moon's everyone. It was so hilarious, the crowds just roared when he'd do that. It's call MR. SEE MORE BUNS,that made my dad laugh so had he had tears in his eyes. It was good to see him laughing again.

I saw a lot of cool mustangs, I wish you would have kept yours too. It made me think of Sheila Lariat, she would pick me up for school everyday in hers, before I got my car. Lots of memories.

Pat, not to worry no offense taken on my part either.

Love you guys,
Lynne

Hey Classmates
Does anyone want to buy a nice house in North Idaho? We are putting OUR house on the market again. My husband is now working out of town again, this time he is about 4 hours away from home. This job is supposed to last until the snow flies again. I'm so done with trying to keep this big place up all alone, plus taking care of my parents. So, if you want to live in a beautiful place like North Idaho give me a call.

After all the hype about the great pool did anyone else go on the slide? Dennis had a great time!

Darla Ford

I know that Peggy's Husband Stu, Marianna's husband Stan, Carol and her Husband,Mirtha, Peggy got pics of everyone that was going down and i'm sure peggy can remember who all went down the slide. it looked fun but not for me.

06/19/09 09:18 PM #2462

Peggy Steiner (Miller)

Yes, there were a few that went down the slide that I caught and I have pictures that I am posting to the picassa site, that I am still working on. We have lots of pics from Friday and Saturday. Lets see, I have Carole Eneim and her hubby, Chuck going down the slide, Mirtha, Barbara Troncoso, Stan, Marianna's hubby and my hubby, Stu. I am hoping that I anyone else that got photos of the slide send them to me.

I agree with Darla,it really did look like fun, but I didn't go down it either. Everyone said it was fun, but really fast.
