Remember When...

Memories of PAHS

Life at Paris American High School was unlike attending most schools in the United States. Our community brought together students from American military and diplomatic families living abroad, creating friendships and experiences that stayed with us long after leaving Paris.

Many of us remember moments that were unique to our years as students in Paris.

Do You Remember

Do these moments sound familiar?

• the walk to the school bus stop each morning
• gathering with friends between classes
• the long line of buses parked in front of the school
• Sadie Hawkins dances in the gym
• football games on Saturday afternoons — because the field had no lights
• parties and proms at the Eiffel Tower
• exploring Paris on weekends by metro
• classmates arriving — and leaving as families were transferred

These shared experiences are part of what made PAHS special.

If you have a memory you would like to share, please add it here so others can enjoy remembering those years as well.

The Eiffel Tower in the 1960s. For many PAHS students, weekends in Paris included views like this.
