Harry Hines

Harry Hines

April 11, 1946 — June 12, 2018

Harry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences from the University of Missouri–Columbia.

He was the beloved husband of 46 years to Lucille A. Hines (née Kettler); devoted father of Cheri (Don) Wagner and Elaine (Justin) Cobb; and loving grandfather of Brycen, Arden, and Beckham. He is also remembered by his brother Thomas Hines, his sister Patricia Thomason, and many extended family members and friends.

Funeral services were held at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons Funeral Homes – South County, with interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Karla Zlotkowski Binkley wrote this lovely tribute to Harry and his wife Lucille:

In 1964 I had the privilege of attending the senior prom with Harry. Fifty-two years later in 2016, he and his wife, Lucille, treated my husband and me to lunch in their beautiful home in Rolla, Missouri. Harry was always very kind to me and I had always hoped to see him again. I am sad that he is no longer with us, and I will miss him. Lucille, has graciously allowed me to post this announcement on the PAHS website. I pray every day that Lucille and her family will find comfort and peace.
