I'll never forget the postcard Cookie sent me during one school holiday when she was traveling with her family to the Soviet Union - it read "From Russia With Love"....................last time I heard from her - and I miss her blue ( contact lens ) Cherokee eyes and I miss making silk screened Vote Support Tags with Jackie Roberts in the ArtRoom at school - "VOTE FOR COOKIE - SHE COOKS WITH STEAM!" when Cookie was running for '65 Class Treasurer. She won!! Then, suddenly she was gone. I do miss her...but am somehow able to share the loss with her very best friend, Karen Weldon - whom I'm in touch with still today!
I knew Cookie prior to Paris when we were stationed at Maxwell AFB, Montgomery. I was in the Dreux American High School, Dreux, France in 63-64. We got together in Paris as much as possible and like always she was the "Energizer Bunny". Down the Champs and watching a massive rainstorm coming up to the Arch of Triumph . Yes, she is a memory that can not be forgotten....

I will always remember Cookie, how we used to sing together arm in arm, down the streets of Paris. Her favorite song was this:Everybody loves a lover
I'm a lover
I love everybody
I should worry
Not for nothing
Everybody loves me, yes they do,
And I love everybody since I
Fell in love with you
Cookie was a dear friend, taken too early from her life and from ours, and I still feel the loss of her.
