Judy Wilson, class of 1964, received news from Gerard's daughter Cecilia of Gererd's passing on February 12, 2021. We have no other information at this time.

I spoke with Gérard’s daughter Cecilia Welker this morning. Gérard died at his home on Friday, February 12, 2021. Cause of death was from choking on food blocking his airway. He was found by his partner, Catherine Vioisin. His funeral and burial was in Brittany on February 18, 2021. Gérard is serviced by his son, Edouard Welker, daughter Cecilia and special friend Catherine.

I remember what a great guy Gerard was: smiling face, hand extended in friendship, Hollywood good looks, great soccer athlete, planning to join his '64 classmates in Paris Reunion, just a great friend. A great loss to you his family, and to us. May God bless you in his memory,
