Just crazy times many years ago. David's dad died back then (when we were in school) and people wondered why he was a rebel. I didn't think twice about it back then. I was just a nobody with my own problems. Now I look back and wonder who were my friends and why? And I know it was just because ________. I can think of many words to fill in the blank, but nothing that would have made up for losing a father back then at that age. I have no idea what happened to him after I graduated. And looking him up would be difficult - I tried looking up another friend, Bhupendra Patel and found that his name was even more common than David's. The world is made up of the common names for uncommon people.
RIP David! Memories of you and that old Jeep that made it to 200,000 miles live on!
I think I heard that he was a dad and husband. I want to extend my deepest condolences to them. Knowing what he's been through can only mean that he would have cared for his family a great deal as well.
