Lost a cherished friend yesterday morning. Jimmy would say he's finally gone to "the big car dealership in the sky." He squeezed every bit of life out of life but, unfortunately (and a bit selfishly on my part), too many adventures were left undone. I'm certainly grateful for the boatload of memories though and the gut-busting laughs shared. Jim was intense, generous beyond belief, treated everyone he met with respect and quickly knew their name (unless they were total a-holes, then they were relegated to another, earned list altogether), profane at times, eloquent at others and always a loyal pal. A huge loss and chasm in life that won't ever be filled. Wherever he is for all eternity, hope that's where I end up! Just want to hear him describe himself again as "just a country boy tryin' to earn a livin'!" Like one of our classmates wrote, "Rest In peace...but knowing Jimmy, that won't happen ... hope they're ready!" Pretty sure he's captured the man and the moment.
