Married to Stu Miller, we live on the Chesapeake Bay outside of Baltimore. We have a cat, Scooter, and previously, a basset hound named Wally. We enjoy traveling (Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Vegas, Palm Springs, London, NYC, Edinborough...to name a few). Recently we returned to SW Va where we both grew up, to Natural Bridge. I often visited there when I was a kid, and we decided we'd make a trip back for old times sake. The Bridge hasn't changed a bit in 45 years!
We love to cook, entertain friends, work in the yard, work on our house, tend to the critters, hit the movies...and definitely love eating out!
Stu graduated from William Fleming about 10 years ahead of me, but we didn't meet until he moved to Baltimore about 12 years ago. We had a lot of fun talking about the good old days in Roanoke and sharing similar experiences we had in high school. We were both band nerds. We both hung out in many of the same places in Roanoke when we were kids, though we never crossed paths back then. What irony, or maybe fate - Stu played in the Roanoke Youth Symphony during the summers when my aunt would take me there every year. Little did I know that the man I would spend the rest of my life with was right up there on that stage, but 45 years away!
Stu is now retired. I work for Citigroup as a software development manager, but just about to retire!
I taught HS Latin for 9 years after graduating from UVA. Then I decided I wanted to make more money, so I went back to VCU and got a degree in programming. I've been managing programmers for most of the last 30 years of my life and still enjoy my work very much.
