I went to work after graduating in 1983. When I was 25, I went back to school and graduated from Liberty University in 1994 with a B.S. in Psychology. I got married one week later and have been in Lynchburg since then. I was a Social Worker, (Child Protective Services Investigator) for ten years, but left there in 2004 to be self employed. I sold on Ebay for almost two years, but got really burned out because it seemed like I worked all the time. I was shipping about 100 packages a day and was the only employee. When the opportunity arose, I started a bathtub refinishing company. It's been nearly three years now and each year is better than the previous. I've coached baseball and basketball for several years and this year I coached football for the first time. It was great. We stay pretty busy with work, the kids, and church.
I mostly remember hanging out at Marcel Shoemaker's house and going places with Marcel, Greg Bishop, Paul Dulaney, David Baker, and Gary Quesenberry. It seems like we were always together. Jr. High football and running the hill, (always regreted quiting in High School). I remember when Dwayne McDaniel broke his leg at football practice. Pizza Inn, Hardees, The Roma Restaurant, Video Village, Ferro's and late nights at Texas Tavern. It seems like there was a party somewhere every weekend and almost everyday at Marcel's house. I had so much fun in high school, I'd go back in a heart beat if I could.
