Comments:

After high school, I attended Canada College for 2yrs trying to figure out what I wanted to do. Then I decided to become an RN and went to Cal State U Hayward for 5 more years getting my BS in Nursing. It was a long haul, with little financial support and working the whole time. Graduating was a tremendous sense of accomplishment.
I worked at Stanford Hospital for 10 yrs. where I met my husband, Cesar who is a cardiologist. We have been married 25 yrs. and I have been so fortunate. He is from Puerto Rico and we travel there frequently. I have become an honorary Puerto Rican.
We now live in the hills of Los Altos, and with all the traveling I have done, I am always happy to return home to the bay area.
I worked for 11 years as a librarian in my kids school and now am working as a para-educator with students on the autism spectrum. (I am really a frustrated school teacher.)
I also teach art as a volunteer art docent, and have become a quilter and mosaic artist. This is a side that I feel very lucky to have been able to explore.
I have reinvented myself several times and hopefully am not finished yet.

School Story:

Hanging out the window of the ski trip to scoop up some snow and falling out the window. Had to be pulled back up by Mr. Wilson with a pair of ski pants. (Luckily the snow make a soft landing).
I can't believe that we were required to wear dresses to school until some "rebels" like us all wore pants to school and got the dress code changed.

The teacher who had the most positive impact on me at San Carlos High:

Gordon Jackson

My favorite subjects in high school were...

Psychology

Classmates I keep in touch with (frequently, often, sometimes)

Lori Bulanti Lovelace, Robin Papazian Lyman, Viv Paju Thompson, Sandy Saufley Martino, Dianne Dawley Ludvigson

Some of the most meaningful events or experiences that have occurred in my life since graduating from SCHS include...

Recently my husband and I went to China and he worked in a hospital there and I was able to spend time with nurses and art students. It was an amazing experience for me.

Countries (and cities) I have visited since graduating include:

All over the US;
Mexico and Canada;
Puerto Rico once or twice yearly; Almost all the Caribbean Islands;
Cuba... very cool place;
Spain, France, Italy, Portugal and England;
China

Tell us about your driving tickets: the funniest, the most severe, the one you should have been given but didn't (and how you got out of it), and so on...

Getting a ticket at Oak Knoll Navel Hospital in the parking lot at 6 am. for going 25 mph in a 15 and "the wrong way on a one way" because the parking spaces were going the other way! I tried to fight it wearing my little student nurse uniform, but the MP showed up and I had to pay.

What I think about this web site, and what I think would make it even better:

Well done!
