Comments:

I married Lorna on Sept 21, 1962 and continued my education in Sunburst Graduated in 1963
From there we moved back to Canada I worked for Dowell Canada in the oil field for a couple of yrs. Went to work on the Stringham Ranch 1965
Moved on and worked for Morris Palmer on the Palmer Ranch in 1967 was Foreman there for seveal yrs...worked with both the Purebred Charloais and the Commercial Cattle.
In 1973 struck out on my own as a Cattle Order Buyer and have bought and sold Cattle all over North America and have sent Cattle to Mexico as well.

Lorna cooked on ther ranches I worked at and did lots of sewing and crafts as well. She was a 4-H leader for the sewing club and taught lots of girls how to sew and do different crafts. When we moved to Stirling she went to work at the Hospital in the Housekeeping Dept....then she applied for a position as the Seniors co-ordinator and got it..she did crafts with the seniors and to them out on outings and the made quilts and auctioned them off to raise money for the extended care unit at the hospital. She got sick in August of 1999 and nobody knew what was wrong, finally her family doctor did some extra tests and found out her platlete count was way out of wack sent her to another Dr and he sent her to a Specialist. She went and seen the Specialist in Feb of 2000 and was Diagnosed with Acute Myloid Leukemia with excessive blastsomias...She had Cancer of the Blood...Her only alternative was to have a Stem Cell Transplant..She was Scheduled for the Transplant in Aug of 2000..in May of 2000 she went to get some preliminary admission work done at the Cancer Clinic in Calgary and when the Dr.'s seen her lab work they moved her Transplant up to June 14, 2000...Her Sister Glenna McLeod was a perfect match for the stem cells and she was notified to come and donate. I was told that most patients with her type of Leukemia don't find a doner and if they do it is usually to late Thank goodness for small miricles. Lorna had her Transplant on June 14, 2000 and went thru the chemo and other treatments in Sept 2000 she was in remission...she came home form Calgary the first of October...We traveled and visited people we had not seen in yrs. Made plans to go to Hawaii in Feb 2002 with the girls, her sister and her girls..kind of a girls holiday. In March 2001 she was strating to feel ill again and so off to the Dr's we went...he did a bunch of tests and to our dismay the Leukemia had come back. The girls held a surprize Birhday Party For her and ther was around 150+ people showed up...People from High School right thru to the people she worked with at the Hospital..the Girls and the Relief Society at the church finished a Quilt that she had been working on before she got sick..and presented it to her. Late May 2001 she had a slight Heart Attack and was Hospitalized...she had another one while in the hospital....her organs were starting to shut down.. I was with her till the end and I told her that it was ok, that we would all be fine and that it was ok for her to go fishing with her Parents. She slipped away peacefully at around 6:00 pm on June 14, 2001 exactly a year to the day of her Transplant. She was in remission for 7 months. The Girls did go to Hawaii with their Aunte and Cousins. I am sure it will be a trip they will remember for the rest of their lives as will I and the Trip I had with her for 39 yrs.

My kids all competed on High School Rodeo...Horses are stilla big part of my Lifesyle My daughter Bonnie still competes in several events and also has a few Race Horses.. as did her Great Grandfather.
