James Nutter - Class Of 1987

James Clifford Nutter, 46, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016.

A funeral service was held Friday, Jan. 22 at the Lutheran Church, Sunburst.

James, the youngest child of John Kiehl and Peggy Breuer Nutter, was raised in the Sweetgrass Hills and graduated from North Toole County High in Sunburst. James had lived in Washington, Arizona and Montana working as a mechanic and truck driver. For the last eight years he had lived in Choteau and had recently moved from Choteau to Pendroy. James served in the U.S. Army and received a medical discharge after being stationed in Korea. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycles and four wheeling on the sand dunes in Idaho.

He is survived by the love of his life, Mireya, whom he married in June of 2015. Also surviving is his mother Peggy Nutter Kimmet; stepfather Jerry Kimmet; sisters Carol (Rick) Keats, Maggie (Kelly Mothershead) Nutter and Edna (Steve) Streit; brother John (Linda) Nutter; daughters Jenifer, married to Buddy Burlison, children Harmony, Morgan and Miaya live in Shelby, Kiehlauna married Brian Szafryk with children Brandon, Ryan, Allen, Kaylee, Kilee and Kacee and they live in Watertown S.D., Jaimie married Colten Harding with children Elizabeth and Bradley and they live in Augusta; and son, John Kiehl Nutter, of Yuma, Ariz.; stepsons Federico Esquivel and Joshua Esquivel; plus his many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father John Kiehl Nutter.
