Bernice Fix (Maxwell) - Class Of 1951

Bernice Fix Maxwell
September 30, 1934 - August 7, 1958

SUNBURST — Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Sunburst Lutheran Church for Mrs. Keith Maxwell, 23-year-old mother of three, who died of a heart attack. Mrs. Maxwell had met her sister at the depot in Shelby and while preparing to leave the building was stricken and died immediately. 

Bernice Carol Fix was born Sept. 30, 1934, at Pendleton, OR. She attended grade school in Umatilla County, Oregon and moved to Sunburst in 1949. She was graduated from high school here in 1951 and was married to Maxwell Aug. 28, 1952. She spent two years in Honolulu while her husband was stationed there. They returned to make their home in Sunburst in 1955. 

Other survivors are three children, Kristi, 5; Greg, 3, and Teresa, 1, and her mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Anderson, all of Sunburst; her father, L. L. Fix, Miami; her sister, Mrs. Leonard Black, Havre; a half brother, Arnold Anderson, and three half sisters, Oma Mae, Karen and Cathy Anderson.
