Kay entered the Air Force in January, 1957 and retired from the service. He served in the U.S., England, France, Germany, and Vietnam.
He met and married Liliane (a French girl) and they lived in the USA, France and Germany. While he was stationed in Vietnam, Lil lived here in Anacortes.
Kay returned from Vietnam and was ill from that time on. He had cancer of the colon, liver, and lungs. He passed away in 1986 and is buried at Fernhill Cemetary in Anacortes.
