Rita Rae German

July 31, 1943 - November 10, 1978

SHELBY — GERMAN, Rita Rae, 35, died at home Friday morning, Nov 10, 1978.  She had been in poor health the past three or four years. 

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in St. William's Church, Shelby. Rosary will be recited Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in the Burns Funeral Home. 

She was born in Conrad and graduated from North Toole County High School at Sunburst in 1961. She earned her master's degree in English from the University of Montana in 1965 and did graduate work, at the University of California, Berkeley, and George Washington University, Washington D.C., earning a master's degree in early childhood education in 1971. 

She taught in Edwards, CA, and Fairfax County, VA, before returning to her family home at Four Corners about four years ago. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and. Mrs. Ray German, Four Corners, and a brother, John, with the Army Field Band in Washington, D.C.
