Wow, 10 years since Willy left us. I remember the time Mike, Willy and I were hunting wabbits and got stuck ing Willy's station wagon. While we were waiting for help to arrive, Mike and I snuck his can of Copenhagen on a fence post about 50 yards away or so and started shooting at it. Of course Willy had to get in the action and shot his own (full) can of chew. Needless to say Mike and I wore the bruises of this, but the look on Willy's face was priceless.
I really miss you Willy.

I have great memories of our friendship. We played football, went fishing and hunting and partyin' together and worked together for many years in the oil patch. Willy is another friend I miss very deeply.

Willy was my good pal from the first night  {holloween 1971} I lived in Sweetgrass.  He and Gary Goddard made me feel right at home. We put a big dent in the gopher population between shooting and trapping.  Many the night I would stand at the back door of thr Glocca Morra and talk with Will as he worked washing dishes. He talked me into playing basketball for the Sweetgrass Bobcats  { they didnt have enough to field a team!}. Willy was the real star.  He came over and stayed at my new home for a couple of days the following year, but we then lost touch.  When I moved back to Montana in 2003, I came over to Sweetgrass and was trying to find him, when his sister told me of his passing.
