I know I didn't graduate from NTCHS but at times I wish I had. I think of everyone from Sunburst often. I want to take this opportunity to say 'hi' to everybody.
In August, 1972, I moved to Lewistown, MT where I graduated from Fergus HS. Then, after 6 years in Missoula at U of M, I got my BS in Computer Science. I promptly moved to Lisle, IL (near Chicago) to go to work for AT&T Bell Labs as a software developer. My first assignment was to go to UW-Madison for a year to get my MS in CS. Then right back to Lisle. In November, 1986 I moved to Seattle, WA for a special project with AT&T and Boeing. I wasn't doing software development on that 3 year project but it got me out of Chicago (too hot, too humid, too flat and too many people) and out to the Pacific NW where I really wanted to be. That's where I still am today.
After that project, I got back into software development work and have done that for 3 separate companies ever since. At that 3rd company, over the last 12 years, I have gone through being bought, being spun off, being privatized, being laid off and being rehired. It's been quite a ride. I hope it's a quiet ride from here on out.
I got married back in July, 1994. Joann is from Aberdeen, WA which is only a couple of hours from here. Her family is a lot of fun so it's nice being close.
