Stanley "Stan" Evans, 73, of Havre, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at Peace Hospice in Great Falls, on February 3, 2016. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Small only in stature, Stanley Evans was as big a man as I've ever known. He was a fearless, ferocious foe in a fight; oh yes, I remember from childhood, up close and--ouch!--personal experience. When the battle ended, he was quick to forgive. He was equally as fierce a friend; he never let you down. Our meetings after NTCHS were mostly by happenstance, but no matter where or when, his smile made the day brighter. You knew he was genuinely happy to see an old friend, but--again--the visit ends too soon.
