Mr. Standish was my neighbor in Lafayette apartments. His son, Paul (whom i affectionately called Peth-a-door) was one of my bestest buds, we were always together...i think he had a crush on my sister Johnnie. lol. Anyway Mr. Standish was a great science/biology teacher in my opinion, he made that subject interesting for me. And Mr. Standish was a great Dad and friend to us kids. He always had an open-door policy and if you were having problems at home (which, being oldest of 5 i was always looking for quiet) his place was the place to be.
I am so sorry to hear of his passing, especially since i have been looking for Paul Jr. for years. If anyone knows of email/address for Paul Jr. please pass it on to me as i would love to talk to my "peth-a-door" again.
